“Nice coffee and dessert nosh place near the hospital. The pastries, cupcakes are all fresh and if you like ice cream they have over a dozen flavors. Plus coffee and other life giving beverages. Okay, they don't actually give life but they do immeasurably improve it. We've been here 4-5 times now. The owner is lovely, and the staff are very accommodating on specialty orders. Nice background music and a decent parking lot. What's not to like?“

“They have the best decaf vanilla lattes I have ever had. We just recently moved here and I commute back and forth to Lakeside AZ. I have cravings for their coffee and won't get on the road without stopping there. Yes, they are that good!!! If you haven't tried them yet, please do. You will love their coffee.“

“Coffee, itself, is but the impetus of the culture of coffee – metaphorical as a poem, nuanced as a painting, indulgent as a late sixties, early seventies rock 'n roll playlist… Synaesthetically pleasing.Good coffee, and all of its accompaniments, demands a worthy barista. She, or he, in providing service, surpasses expectations. Details matters.Coffee is not fast food, not immediate gratification, not mere routine. Coffee is ritual, sustenance, transcendence. From the approach, to the entry, to the order, to the table, to the coffee…all within a context of metaphysical comfort and inspiration, a coffee house should embrace, heart to heart, recollection to remembrance.Javalina Coffee House, Silver City, New Mexico, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Wednesday morning, 21 June. “What a wonderful stop on our road trip! The patio is gorgeous with wooden furniture, a garden, and an adobe writing room. I could spend hours admiring all the decorations in the cafe! We even met a cyclist with a monkey. Highly recommended!“
