Had dinner here on a whim 2 nights ago while passing through town and was very pleased. Wasn't crowded which was a relief, I just wanted a quiet place to have dinner and this was perfect. Was very happy to see they had some no-rice-rolls that fit my no-carb diet. The protein roll and orange roll were outstanding. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend. Will be returning next time I'm in Abq.
Tried this place on a whim two months ago. I really found the name odd and honestly it was the name which kept me away. Very unassuming in name and external presentation. The restaurant is a mix of table service and self service. You get seated and get a menu then have to go up to the front to order and they bring out the food. Excellent sushi. Some of the best sushi I've had in Albuquerque. Highly recommend Sushibucks. Also has a few parking spaces next to the restaurant. It's pretty easy parking in the evenings. (Parking would be difficult during the day when UNM is in session, I suspect.).
