Great food. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Always clean. Central Grill is the go-to Grill and coffee house in Albuquerque.
Just had a great breakfast where the owner met me at the counter with a fresh cup of great coffee. The food was great, especially the home made biscuit and gravy! The location is perfect, close to Old Town ALBQ and the freeway and he atmosphere is great, too. Next time, I’m driving through ALBQ, I’ll definitely stop by again.
Everything…especially their going bananas French toast!

Central Grill and Coffee House is a cozy breakfast spot located in old town Albuquerque, a charming mom and pop restaurant and old gas station turned into a yummy breakfast spot. The breakfast burrito is highly recommended, being large and very good with juicy scrambled eggs. The red and green salsas are tasty, especially the green one. Blueberry pancakes are also excellent and full of flavor, and the award winning pancakes are the absolute best ever eaten. The Chile rellenos and chilequiles are crowd favorites. The owner takes pride in the place, and the staff provides friendly and helpful service. The outdoor seating offers a nice option, though visitors should be cautious of the hot heaters. The patio area is a better choice for comfort, and the atmosphere on the patio is much better. Parking is ample, with plenty of spaces at the front and back. The restaurant is kid-friendly. The food is reasonably priced, and the staff is attentive and courteous. Visitors note that the place can be noisy and busy inside. The chicken fried steak with gravy was the best had in a long time. The hotcakes with a side of sausage are a healthy serving of cake. Overall, it’s a great breakfast option for those visiting Albuquerque, offering hearty plates and a welcoming environment.
