This was my very first time visiting New Mexico. A huge part of what made my experience at El Pinto so memorable was my server, Azure. She was extraordinarily polite, friendly, and welcoming right from the start.

El Pinto Restaurant & Cantina offers a unique atmosphere unlike any other in New Mexico, with a beautiful outdoor area featuring fountains, greenery, a rustic look, and bird feeders. The ambiance is described as the nicest New Mexico has to offer, with a beautiful atmosphere and plenty of handicapped parking. The food is excellent and delicious, with specific mentions of the Taco Salad, tamales, and sopapillos. Portions are great, and prices are very reasonable, even without a BOGO offer. Service is generally kind, attentive, and friendly, with the whole team pitching in to serve customers. However, one recent dinner visit was disappointing, as the waiter was not attentive, sopapillas were not fresh and one was overcooked. The restrooms are very pretty, clean, and offer a serene experience. El Pinto is highly recommended for a meal in Albuquerque, especially for its unique environment and class above average servers.
