“Let me just say how much I LOVE the Carne Asada Tacos ? here at Dogos V.I.P. .... ? ♥ The meat ? is fresh & quality stuff. Full of flavor and just the most delicious, yet delightful, crispy corn tortillas dipped in Birria Consome. I'm sure you can imagine how good it tasted. We will ALWAYS Recommend Dogos V.I.P. to all of our friend's & family and continue to be repeat customers getting the Carne Asada tacos whenever possible ? ?. It's THAT good ?? The service is 5 Stars too . All the young ladies give 5 Star ? service & The Manager is easygoing & laid back. Very friendly and professional. ??. Takes care of you. ? ?10 out of 10 RECOMMEND. They ALSO have Birria Taco's ? & Birria Ramen ? so cheesy and bursting with flavor. Go try it .“
“WOW!!! This place is amazing!!! My husband is what I call a “food snob”, and he absolutely loved this place!! He got the Chicken Breast Mole and he said, “Wow! It’s like I’m eating this in someone’s kitchen”. Meaning, It’s authentic, flavorful and oh so DELICIOUS!!!! I ordered the Pizzabirirria and it was INCREDIBLE!! Such a large portion, so filling and the dipping broth that comes with is divine! You can easily share a pizzabirirria between two people. I had to take half of it with me.We were just passing through on our way to Texas and my husband wanted authentic Mexican food and so I turned to Google. After reading so many 5 star review for this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. And this place did not disappoint!!! We are so glad we stopped here! The waiter was very very friendly, the food came out pretty quickly and the horchata was delicious. It tasted like honey milk. You can tell it is a favorite place of the locals because there was a huge line for take out, along with a full restaurant. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food!“
“I have nothing bad to say about Papa Frank's. Their food while affordable is the best in ABQ and the service and hospitality they provide is unmatched. I have returned time and again to find excellent cooking and wonderful people. Papa Frank's is a very homely establishment that deserves your business!Wheelchair accessibility: Papa Frank's is wheelchair accessible through a ramp.“
“A classic for a reason! You don't stick around this long if you aren't doing something right. And they do everything right, the food and staff are always excellent. Me and my family have been coming here longer than I can remember and I have never had a bad experience. Everything is good so pick something and enjoy, I personally enjoy there stuffed sopaipilla with extra cheese, the steak fingers and enchiladas.“
“Stopped at La Reforma during a business trip and came away very impressed. Great food, drinks and vibes. Service was also outstanding. Even during peak hours my waitress was very attentive. The food was perfect. Had the carne asada torta and it was probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had (I’ve had many). Perfectly cooked and very filling. Those chefs know what they’re doing. Topped it off with a Golden West IPA - delicious. Can’t wait to be return!“
“I got the Bistec Rancheros. The beef has amazing flavor and goes so well with the eggs and potatoes. SO GOOD! A nice little place, with amazing food. The portion size is also large. I could not finish it in one sitting. The salsa and chips. Also very good. The chips also come with a cheese sauce. I got the horchata to drink. Very good. I am not a big horchata fan, but I will drink it again next time I come. Not too sweet.“
“I have seen some really good reviews about this new place and decided to give it a try for ourselves. We ordered the Taco Burgers and also had the chips and salsas. The Taco Burgers were a good portion size and did fill us up. They came with a fresh roasted green chile and that was a nice bonus. The 2 salsas were both very good but the green salsa was the best. It had some spice! The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We did not have to ask for refills, as they kept our glasses full. We did not have to wait for a table and were seated immediately. The dining area was a good size and had plenty of tables. Overall this place was very flavorful and we will definitely return. I absolutely recommend you give it a try!“
“A smallish coffee house that serves great food. Lovely, friendly staff, an amazing huevos rancheros and chicharrones. It was the perfect breakfast with a friend.Shame I couldn't finish it and take the leftovers with me but was on my way to the airport! But it will be a regular stop when I'm in ABQ.“
“Frontier is beloved by locals and frequented by tourists as well as college students. Great location right across the street from UNM. The vibes and eclectic decor are top notch. There isn’t any shortage of seating or space inside. However, if you know good New Mexican food the fare might leave you feeling unsatisfied. A bit bland and the chile isn’t very spicy. The food is decent but certainly nothing special. I’ve had many breakfast burritos, lunch burritos, huevos rancheros and the like from here. On my most recent visit I decided to try something of a different sort. The grilled cheese sounded interesting plus I ordered a side of fries. The fries were nice and crispy, very good flavor. The grilled cheese was again just OK. It got soggy on one side from the tomatoes I believe. Definitely nothing that I couldn’t just make at home. I’m a student, and I live one block from frontier. I’ll continue to walk over from time to time to enjoy a decent bite and the vibes at this local representation of our city. Don’t be discouraged from visiting here just keep your expectations realistic“
“I've been eating at padillas for decades and we'll have to say that the food has been very consistent over that time and it's always delicious. If you're not a fan of onions then my suggestion is your tell your waiter or waitress to hold the onions because they're very liberal and the amount of onion they put on your food, I don't like onion. The tamales are very good probably the best in Albuquerque and the blue corn chicken enchiladas are also just very delicious.“
“Love this place! The food was great. Service was amazing. So, you walk in and order and sit down. They get your name and call you when it's ready. It really does remind me of being at my mom's or grandmother's. I was impressed when I left and was thanked by name for coming. That meant a lot to me that I was remembered. I had the wavos rancheros red. Spelling may be off.Go here and you will not be let down.“
“This has the best breakfast burritos in town! Their chile is flavorful and hot! I love the bacon burrito where the bacon stays crispy and doesn't get soggy in the burrito and it is fabulous bacon. The donuts and pastries are also made in house and are so good too! The apple fritter are person favorites there. The staff is always nice and friendly no matter how busy they are! There is limited seating but even taking it to go the food stays perfect and hot.“
“We were staying at The Clyde for a conference and some of our people found this little place, and boy we were thankful they did! The word spread fast through quite a few groups from our conference because they did not disappoint! For lunch yesterday, our group had Zak's Famous Club, Monte Cristo, Tosatadas Compuestas, and Pasolé which were all amazing. This morning we had Carne Adovada and Eggs, Good Morning Relleno, and another round of Pasolé for one because she loved it that much! They also have a $5 handheld breakfast burrito that you can grab on the go! The chips and salsa were also yummy! And to top it off, the staff were very nice! I can honestly say, we as a group, highly recommend stopping in. Thank you Baca Boys Cafe staff!“
“It was such a beautiful restaurant, I loved the atmosphere. The Family Pack is a great group meal, it's perfectly packed up with toppings and salsa options. The Chile Relleno Barbacoa burrito was delicious and the Agua Frescas were so good. Overall, great food at a good price; it's well worth it.“
“Great, fresh, super-tasty food! we had chicken tamales and indian tacos with birria, both delicious!! large portions, and we still cleaned the plate...what a better review?! definetively a favorite spot...+++Kid-friendliness: nice open space with room for kids“
“Having lived in the SW for a spell many years ago, I have been wanting authentic Mexican for a long time. So, traveling through Albuquerque we stumbled on this place. Absolutely loved it! The chili rellano with brisket was soooo good. Our server was attentive, polite, and professional. And to top it off, the sopapilla was divine!“
“The food was delicious!!! We ordered To Go, which took a bit long, but worth it! It was made with lots of flavor and love. I normally like red sauce, but it was hot for me this time and the green taste was great! Driving in was pretty tight. I drove in with a big truck and it was a challenge parking in and getting out. Cars shouldn’t have much of a problem. I totally recommend giving this place a try.“
“Perfect! I have been New Mexican cuisine elsewhere. NOW, I am going to frequent this place where I can eat authentic Mexican cuisine. The other place I visited for years never claimed to be a Mexican restaurant. It is simply that Mexican is better than New Mexican. The food was delicious.“
“Love it!! Great service, amazing food, super fast, good & fair prices. My friend and I went to eat lunch there while on a trip because our Uber driver suggested it and man! was that a good suggestion. I had the lunch deal enchilada and my friend the chile relleno and both were a 10. The drinks were great and fairly priced. The salsas are BOMB!! so good that I had to buy some to go ? the chips are clearly freshly made so they're super light and crunchy..Would definitely eat here again!“
“Love this place for their Dogos! Totally crave-able!!! Can't go wrong with a bacon wrapped hot dog smothered with sour cream, ketchup, grilled onions and a hot sauce that makes your mouth tingle. Pair this with their Alegre style french fries, which is loaded fries of lettuce, cheese, tomato, cilantro, onion, salsa and your choice of protein. I liked the Al pastor better than the carne asada.“
“The breakfast skillet was great. I had breakfast here twice while in ABQ. service was super friendly and so fast the servers literally make you feel like you’re in your grandmas kitchen. Food was very fast. Maybe 6-7 mins from the time I ordered. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. Has a fun atmosphere with lots of interesting artifacts on the walls. You can tell whoever owns/operates this restaurant cares about what they do. Great job everyone.“
“The city sucks but the food’s great. I got a barbacoa torta - amazing as is, didn’t need any extra salt or anything. Love how unique the inside of the restaurant feels. Me and my wife spent $16 and got filling food for the both of us and a drink to share. Good bang for your buck and the employees were very welcoming.“
“After checking in at the holiday inn I drove the opposite direction of the chain restaurant bars and came across this place. Not much from the outside but.Great food, prices were fare. Service was excellent. Big portions. I will be back next trip. Best Carnes asada I have had. I live in san diego county.“
“The blue corn chile relleno is one of the best I have ever had, not to mention their incredible breakfast pastry selection. Every time we're in Albuquerque, we make it for at least one of our meals! Do not miss out and try it for yourself!!“
“Excellent! Papa Nachos has the absolute best shredded beef tacos! The first time I tried the food here was back in 2004, and I still love it!Consistency is key! Quality ingredients and amazing salsa and chips has me coming back for more!Yum!“
“I have been getting breakfast at Mick's since they opened. Their breakfast burritos with sausage, and green chili are the best I have ever had. Our last visit in there, we had a problem with the wait staff who is one of the owners. We waited several minutes to place our food order. My brother felt the need to ask if we could place our order. He was trying to let her know he had to be somewhere by a certain time. The waitress informed my brother that it's not her problem. My brother told her she didn't have to be rude. The waitress did not take our order, took our menus and told us to have a nice day. I don't care if you are the owner, there was no reason good enough for you to speak to my brother as you did. You also scratched my son's arm with a pen when you grabbed the menus from us. And you upset my son. I will not do business with your restaurant again.“
“Great place for classic New Mexican food. We can't get enough smothered burritos, enchiladas, and red and green chili. All really well done by fast and friendly family. We also had a really good green chili cheeseburger, and the chili cheese hash browns are outstanding.Vegetarian options: Bean burritos, potato burritos, hash browns.“
“I went here for the first time yesterday, what a great experience! The food was wonderful, and the location and decor, perfect! The service and the plating is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place, we will definitely be back.“
“Went here cause it was listed as top 6 burger places in ABQ. The burger itself was good but it had way too much stuff on it. I think I tasted ham, bacon and some sausage links along with the burger. Super saucy but the fries were delicious.“
“STILL a very good blend of traditional Mexican and New Mexican food! Their combination plates are delicious! On Central NW east of the BioPark!UPDATE: tried the Los Compadres burger. VERY well-made! 1/2 lb. Hamburger topped with bacon, cheese, and green chile. Served with hand-cut fresh fries. This one you'll HAVE to try! Yum!“
“The quality of authentic New Mexican food is excellent as usual. The service was fast even the chips and salsa were freshly made along with the piping hot sopapillas. My daughter had a cheeseburger my wife had a combination platter and I had the carne adovada plate. I knew I wanted carne adovada and selected the plate over the combo, because the menu said it was a generous portion. But I was disappointed in this small portion size of the carne adovada serving. I would say about a half a cup. (See photo).“
“First time at Sharkis? of many more to come!!! First class food!! All delicious!!!Toll taxis. Shrimp the cevixhe!!! All delicious!!!!It's a piece of California in Burque♥️Family atmosphere and they treated us luxuriously ♥️. Congratulations!!!!!100% recommended“
“Growing up in Albuquerque developed in me a true love for "Red or Green" culture. Living out of state now makes me crazy living without it, so, when I visit I want the real deal food of the "Burque!" Tia Betty Blues is my new favorite. My Navajo sculptor friend, Natiya, introduced me and now I'm hooked. You can see in the pictures the food, and they don't skimp. Look at the size of that Carne Adovada burrito compared to his hands. It's massive! I got a 4-egg omelette smothered in green chile with calabacitas (zucchini and corn), and my other friend had blue corn waffles with strawberries.Next time I'm in Albuquerque this will be the first place I go, and probably more than once. I highly recommend it, especially in warm weather, when you can sit outside. I think the owner also has the Waffleria (?).Parking: Parking lot is somewhat small so go at times of least business.“
“Couldn't believe what a treasure of a place to find. The people were so kind and friendly, the food was AMAZING and their homemade hot sauce/salsa is unbelievable, and eating inside an authentic bus was so cool. Just loved it. Can't wait to go again!“
“Everything here was amazing i had the Menudo from here. I’m a Texas girl at heart border town girl at that when i tell you never in my life since i have been traveling have i had a menudo this good and tasting so close to the menudo from back home Definitely RECOMMEND THIS PLACE JUST FOUND MY NEW SPOT TO EAT AT ??“
“Great discovery of a local place on our trip through New Mexico. The owners were so friendly and helpful with recommendations of their favorites. Glad we followed that advice! The natillas was a wonderful finish to a delicious meal. Will definitely return here the next time we're in Albuquerque.“
“The seared Ahi was out of this world. I am an avid traveler across the United States,San Diego, California to Pennsylvania and back every year. I often order seared Ahi as it is one of my favorites. I never, ever, expected how amazing it tasted! It had an amazing, flavorful crust with sesame seeds, perfectly seared.I am going back before I move on and order more.“
“They were really good. A little pricey, but the staff was really nice and kept our drinks filled. I had the sweet potato fries. I wasn't that hungry. The fries were delicious tooKid-friendliness: Kids were there and they were well behavedWheelchair accessibility: There's ramps there“
“This place is the best Mexican Food I've been to in a long time. The employees family owned are very nice, knowledgeable ,helpful, respectful and very busy at that.. you can call ahead order and pickup when you arrive the place is so busy all time and very prompt every time someone needs assistance. My Favorite is Chile relleno burrito they make it the way you order it. On point no complaints If I could give them 10 stars ⭐I would . You won't have any regrets eating from there so give it a try and get you some yummyMexican food.“
“This is the 2nd time we have been there. The husband had the Mexican turnover with carne adovada basically a stuffed sopailla. I had the Chicharrione & bean burrito with green chili. The service is great and the food is amazing. I did not know they had won a James Beard Award. Basically the Oscars of food for American Classic.“
“Simply incredible! If you're looking for authentic Mexican food look no further! Best Chile Rojo recipe I have ever tried, will definitely be back. I do wish the gorditas were made out of maiz and not harina, they got too soggy before I even got home to eat them. But honestly the Chile Rojo recipe is among the best I've ever tried so would I order the gorditas again? Fuck yes, they're that good“
“Overall it was great! My s/o and I came here for lunch while we were waiting for some mudd to dry while doing ceiling work. We were fixed for time and politely notified our waitress. I wish I could remember her name!! She was the Angel that made our experience here worth 5 starts! Much love and appreciation to the staff and cooks! Keep puttin your foot in those plates! ?“
“I didn't even know this place existed until I passed it on the road today. If you like fresh ingredients and a lot of flavor then this place is for you. I got the vegetarian burrito and it had cilantro, beans, cheese, spanish rice, avocado, and even potatoes I think. They also gave me an avocado crema on the side which was reallly good and fresh, not like the cheap watered down kind you get at most places. My only complaint is that the bottom wasn't closed up so it was kinda messy to eat, as you can see in the picture. But it didn't matter because it's probably the best Mexican food I've tried in Albuquerque so far, I think everyone should try it!“
“Next time someone from out of town wants some good food. They will be sent here! It may be a whole in the wall BUT... they food is amazing! The staff are super friendly and make you feel like family. Almost felt like i was eating at my aunties house...Fresh tortillas made in house and for sale.. Definitely a first pick for some great food and recommendations.. This place deserves the the recognition that el pinto has but this place has way better food...I got the breaking bad burger and it's definitely bigger than I thought!! Damn delicious tho..“
“You MUST visit Ben Michaels Restaurant near Old Town in Albuquerque!!! I cannot tell you how wonderful and authentic this place is. It is an experience, not just a meal! Ben Michael is truly a Renaissance Man and it shows in all that he does!We first went in December of 2023 and were completely WOWED by the ambience, aura and food! He is a master in the kitchen, garden, at the piano and in the realm of storytelling! He made us feel like we were the only people in the world and we had known each other for decades! I am not a foodie in any way, but this chef and his art of cooking made me truly appreciate the world of flavors and phenomenal food! The art and photos on the wall tell the story of a wonderful life and strong connection to family. We then had a private party there for my sister's 60th birthday and once again, Ben Michael made sure we had a wonderful time. He was so personable and attentive all evening while mingling with us and getting to know us better. He is an exceptional listener. Towards the end of the evening he sat down at his beautiful piano and sang a PERSONALIZED Birthday song for my sister!!! He took in all the great details and made her a song!!!! It was amazing!!!!As you can see by now, I cannot say enough great things about Ben Michael's!!! I would be typing for days. Please treat yourself to an evening there and you too will fall in love with this exceptional restaurant.“
“Absolutely wonderful stop for breakfast!Everything we ate here was terrific! The chicken fried steak with red chili sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had. Their pancakes are so thick, fluffy and fabulously delicious. The bacon fresh, the Sopaipillas are divine by themselves or with honey.Cafe 66 also serves real butter, which I find is tragically disappearing from the diner scene. The servers were very sweet, and our food came out fast. This place is a must stop for all you road weary travelers seeking delicious food and wanting to support a local restaurant.“
“This is the old Coors Cafe, just north of Gun Club on Coors, east side of Coors.I just had to try this place since it's so close to my house. I was not let down! So far have had chicken and shredded beef tacos, they were superb!Second time was the same, third time was the same. Very Authentic South Vally food. Tacos are larger than most. Everything tastes homemade - why would you go to McDonalds up the street when you can eat real, healthy food! The owner is super nice and accommodating. I'll be coming back there until they close the doors! There is plenty of parking and an indoor space if you choose to eat there. If you enjoy the 'Bertos, you seriously need to visit this place, even if it's out of the way for you. one word: Delicious!“
“Went in Tuesday with my cousin like we usually do and was beyond disappointed. Our favorite server Chris is no longer there. So many issues we get a special item and described in in detail price was doubled and got it wrong 2 times before we gave up. The cheese was watery and extremely spicy. Got light lettuce on our nachos and it was either dry or rotten. Sooo disappointed and to top it all off my cousin got sick off the bad lettuce on there property. Just all around nightmare. Might have to find another place to make our usual“
“Visiting for a day and went here for breakfast, let me tell yall they did not disappoint. This was the best breakfast Cafe we have been to. The food was hot and good proportions. It's been a few hours and we're still full. The Santa fe skillet my wife had was so delicious and my chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was awesome and made us feel at home. The green chili and chili sauces were both phenomenal. Next time we're in town this is the only place we will go for breakfast! Wish we had the servers name so we could shout him out!“
“Good service, the food is delicious, the ceviche is very fresh and has good flavor! The people are very friendly and with a good attitude and attention to the tables. The place looks clean and they have very good music! Excellent service from Miss Zoila!!“
