Added bonus are the fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside perfectly salted fries. Yum! We will definitely order from here again and I think it took some creativity to come up with all of those menu items and names, well done!“

“The smell of freshly fried food welcomes you upon entering this local business. The people running this hole in the wall diner are kind and make everything fresh to order. The prices are a bit higher than listed online but you will be able to feed yourself for $10 or less. I recommend the egg foo young burger, the green chile burger and onion rings. Bring cash: they only take cash as payment and don't have an ATM.“

“One of the best fast food chains in NM. The taco burgers are always on point. The chili cheese dogs are the perfect level of spicy and their chile fries (red & green) easily compete with a lot of the non-fast food places that offer similar dishes. This is a must try place for anyone visiting ABQ.

Ample parking included a slot for handicapped parking with wheelchair accessible ramp for entry into the building. The staff were friendly, professional, and fast.

“The waitstaff was great, as always. My fried chile strip appetizer was not that great. Cut too thin and over fried. My 5-Star Burger, which I order every time , was a disappointment. The tiny bacon pieces and cheese crumbles were stingy this time and basically just fell out onto the plate every time I picked up the burger. And, the rings of “fresh” onion were incredibly tough!“

Also, CANE SURE SODA?!?!?! I’ve only seen this outside of the USA! At least 85% of restaurants sell soda with a lot of artificial sweeteners, corn syrup and other stuff and I can’t even pronounce. (Yuck) ?
This place impressed me with their Cane Sugar Lemonade, Coca Cola and Root Beer! Ufff! So good and not too sweet!

“If you're craving a real burger, cooked and prepped just the way you like it, Fuddruckers has it. Enjoyed a buffalo burger but was just taken back by how much more I had to pay for grilled onions and mushrooms, let alone guacamole or avocado on it. I appreciated the fresh baked bun and the option of a gluten free bun was even better.“

“I worked at their BDM location in the early 90s. Andrew was at the helm and Joe would come in and help out too. Larry was also there as the location manager, I believe he owns it now. I started there pregnant with my first son and returned after his birth. it was such a fun place to work. There were three of us plus Larry and Andrew. I admire the family, their work eithic and all the fun times and yummy food we got to enjoy. I wonder how Dave is doing, he was my side partner doing prep in the super early mornings. he had a thick New Hampshire accent and was a pleasure to work with. I moved away from NM 20+ years ago (for medical reasons) but everytime I make a homemade Albuquerque turkey I think of them all and our time working together. ❤️“

“Went to a concert, did not eat there. However, Revel had security in place, and the ladies restroom was clean. There was plenty of room to move around freely within the auditorium. The only thing I thought was lacking was signage to state that any seats upstairs are paid. We mistakenly took someone's seats when we arrived and didn't realize until two people sitting next to us were asked to move because they were sitting in someone's seats. The tickets I bought stated that general admission includes access to the 2nd level. Since the seats were probably sold out when I bought our tickets, I had no clue that seats were sold upstairs. We went back downstairs and enjoyed the show. The employees were awesome as always (not my first trip to Revel) and will go back for another concert.“

“I love their New Mexico style burger and shakes. In my opinion it is much better than Whataburger. I also love their breakfast sandwiches. I had made a mistake thinking it was their mistake and their night shift team lead corrected my mistake and handled it with professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend Blake’s but especially this location because of the team.“

“ABQ “Route 66” Habits:

Rhonda and I have got into the habit of going to our local breakfast restaurant which is about a mile from our house. The name of the place is called Loyola’s, and it sits right on old Route 66 or Central Avenue. The place has been there for eons, and the décor probably hasn’t changed one bit from back when Route 66 was the main route through the USA. Some people may recognize Loyola’s from the TV shows “Breaking Bad” or “Better Call Saul” as it was Mike Ehrmantraut’s (actor Jonathan Banks) favorite place to eat in the show (much was filmed there plus he also went there to eat after filming).

First, the restaurant doesn’t stand out from Route 66 anymore. Much of the flair of Route 66 was lost when the previous Albuquerque Mayor (Barry) ruined Route 66 to get bus lanes installed. He pushed his bus initiative even though the locals were against it. He’s now richer and lives in Phoenix and what was Route 66 in Albuquerque can only now be embedded in our minds as it was, hopefully not forgotten. Loyola’s is one of those last holdout places that survived the bus push and, luckily, filming “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” at the restaurant didn’t hurt.

When one walks in the door of Loyola’s it's nice to be recognized and be asked how our day is going. “It’s going well but it sure is cold out there - March in Albuquerque!” On the left when you enter is the old fashioned diner counter with about 10 spaces for walk-ins and it's always full. A full variety of folks talking with one another. We always immediately get seated in the old-style booths. The staff quickly brings your coffee or orange juice to your table. The Loyola staff has probably worked there for quite some time and it’s nice to see the same familiar faces each time you come in. You know them and they know you. Rhonda and I have gotten to the point where we know exactly what we want and don’t even look at the menu. Once ordered the food is quickly cooked and served within 5 minutes. We have never had to wait long, and the food is always consistent and fresh. Rhonda gets her mini huevos and I get my spam and eggs (Hawaii rubbed off on me!). Maybe not the healthiest meal but we like it.

You may notice a handwritten sign on the entrance doors saying they will be closed next week for some filming as the local movie industry knows a good thing when they see it.

It makes me sad to see places like this fade away but until they close the doors or Rhonda and I cease to exist; we plan on going to Loyola’s every Wednesday for some time.

Loyola's On Route 66“

“Came in just by the look of the front poster of the burger , and grest amazing choice it was !!! For me and my family burgers were cooked to perfection ? onion fries were just as amazing !! The sauces they make are wiked little containers of flavor I had the OMG and my wife had the Bowl burger and each patty was cooked the exact same with flavor“

“I been come to this restaurant since 1997. From day one I was welcome inn like family from the owner to the waitresses and the cooks I got to know very well over the years.
Their food as always been Top notch but now it’s even better. No one in the state can beat the combination plate number 11 remember to get it Christmas.

Parking: Monday to Friday not a problem finding parking. Saturday to Sunday morning to afternoon it gets Busy but don’t let that stop you. Los Compadres has a big parking area or you could have takeout. The longest I ever waited there was 30 minutes..

Kid-friendliness: Yes. Take your kids the more the better.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. There is no stairs. The door are easy to open“
