Restaurantji presents Bernalillo's standout Mexican dining destinations.
“Good food nice employees. A friend stopped by and was surprised they were all Spanish speaking . Then an anglo woman was taking orders and she was relieved . I told her they all speak English. She grabbed us burritos n some drinks which were all delicious. We laughed because she thought they'd be too expensive but for the size of the burritos it's not expensive at all.“
“Great little local restaurant that is easy to get to off I-25. The servings are large and quickly prepared. The staff is attentive and courteous and keep on top of everything service related. If you like fish, I would recommend the tilapia diablo plate for lunch. This restaurant is worth checking out if you're in the area. Do not let the amount of cars in the parking lot discourage you from coming in for a quick bite or ordering and pickup.“
“My son and I came for lunch after working in the yard. We couldn’t have made a better choice!!! The nicest staff and nice atmosphere you can easily spend time in looking at the treats all around the lobby. The food was top notch! We had tacos, tortas, beans, rice, and Natillas that were home made and the best I’ve had in a long time. We will be back!“
“True to their name! I got an asada burrito and it was packed with meat, rice, and beans. It tasted great by itself, but I had to try their salsas as well. Both the red and green salsas are flavorful. The green was mild and the red was hot (but not overpowering). I’ll definitely be stopping here again!“
“The Range Cafe in downtown Bernalillo has long been a local favorite on account of a menu featuring hearty diner favorites like country fried steak and gravy, and zesty New Mexican classics like Chile Rellenos and Huevos Rancheros. Most of all, though, it's the genial, welcoming staff: no matter how busy they get, you'll never feel rushed. Stopping in at The Range always feels a little like coming home; the colorful ambience never fails to cheer. This visit, my wife and I started out with Rey's Nachos, a giant, confetti-colored mesa constructed of black beans, tender shredded chicken, crumbled white cheddar cheese and Mexican cojita, with chile con queso, freshly chopped guacamole and pico de gallo, fresh lettuce, chopped tomato, and blue & white corn chips, the whole thing laced with a lightly seasoned smoked chile crema. The best nachos in the universe. For supper she ordered the Country Fried Steak, a Route 66 classic consisting of a succulent breaded fried cutlet smothered in savory cream gravy, served with homemade mashed potatoes (with soft, buttery chunks of potato, which is how you know it's homemade), accompanied by a delicious side dish of yellow squash sautéed with fresh corn and onions. Her only complaint was that there was too much food. I had The Range's signature Plato Combinación del Rancho, which consisted of a blue corn chile relleno, two rolled lean beef blue corn enchiladas, one chicken taco dressed with smoked chile crema; savory pinto beans, twin moats of red and green chile ("Christmas"), the whole thing topped with melted white cheddar, and accompanied by a mouth-watering mound of arroz verde ("green rice"), an aromatic side dish consisting of basmati rice cooked with parsley, cilantro, spinach flakes, olive oil, garlic and scallions. I'll never eat plain rice again. My only complaint is that I couldn't possibly eat all that food. But that's a good problem to have. Two sets of entushiastic thumbs up!“
“We had the quesabirria tacos and the elote. The tacos were fantastic! The meat is tender and juicy. Comes with consommé (delicious) and a side of red and side of green salsas which are both very good! The only reason I’m not giving the food 5 stars is because the elote is terrible. ? It was a 16oz cup full of watery corn that had a chunk of melted cheese in it. Not good. For $8 it should’ve been better. This is not a traditional elote corn cup. You’ve been advised. Go for the rest!“
“Food is really good! Service is pretty fast. My favorite torta Al Pastor in all of Albuquerque. They have a wide variety of selection and everything is pretty good.Have you seen that part of Ratatouille where the chef eats a piece of Ratatouille and his memory is triggered to eating his mom’s food? Thats me every time I eat here.“
“It was really good. Burritos they way i like. Asada beans rice oinions cilantro. I dont mind paying more for quality steak and large portions. I hope its as good next time. Good edible steak not a bunch of pieces you cant even chew or a bunch of blubber pieces.“
“The food is great, the staff are friendly and attentive. Service is awesome, fast and the order was complete and had great taste. However, tables and floor must be cleaned more often, specially after those customers than dont pick up after themselves.“
“I had the patty melt with a salad. Was very good. Service was pretty fast, even though it was really busy.Parking: Parking lot in the back of restaurant is kind of tight. Handicap parking is in the back of restaurant. They have parking in front of restaurant and also across the street from the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessibility from the back of the restaurant, also from the front. But no handicap parking on the street. Only in the back of the restaurant“
