“This Pelicans has consistently been one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque over many many years. But the last time I was there (in April 2024) the service was unfortunately terrible. And that was after making a reservation. The event was my son's birthday. We arrived and they didn't have the reservation, so we waited and waited and waited... while they seated two other parties who arrived after us without reservations. (And we were only had a group of three...) we waited at least 25 or 30 minutes. Then when we got seated, they didn't bring the salad until the food was already on the table. They didn't offer a complementary dessert for the birthday bar boy, and especially considering all the mis-steps. There was no effort made to make up for the service drops... It was a terrible disappointment. Especially from a place that I've learned to expect more from.“

“I got the green chicken enchiladas, hubby got the fajitas and my friend got a flauta plate. EVERYTHING was delicious!! ? Salsa was hot and spicy just thr way I like it!! They give you both green and red. If you don't want something so spicy try the green it's just as good! Our server Ivette was an absolute doll! Amazing food and service!! I highly recommend and will definitely be going back!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We used to go to this neighborhood spot several times a month but became quite disappointed with our meals. We appreciated prices but meals kept getting smaller and several of the long time servers were gone so we quit and hadn't been here for over a year. My dad suggested trying it again for a special dinner. We made reservations for 4 in the bar section where we prefer but we were seated in the dining room. This evening our service was excellent as was our meal. One of our party uses a walker and our server was attentive to her needs. We will resume returning to our neighborhood dinner spot again.“

The bartenders were so great, taking care of an elderly gentleman who left his card at the bar. The bartender also made sure the lighting was corrected when someone made an error as it became dark outside. We will definitely come back to this location!“

“Their taco Tuesday deal is great! Also kids eat free on Tuesdays. Our family tried steak, mahi mahi, and salmon tacos as well as macaroni and cheese and the shrimp rice bowl kids meals. All of it was very tasty including a variety of sauces. The guys working there were friendly and I appreciated the help from the cashier. The fish was tasty! I'm glad we gave it a try.

Vegetarian options: They have vegan meat options

Dietary restrictions: They were able to leave off the ingredients we are allergic to.

Parking: I've never had a hard time getting a spot in the lot for the business in that strip.

“Absolutely love this place! The service is ALWAYS amazing and friendly. Our family have become weekly regulars & not only for the food but for the employees as well. We consider everyone here family. My husband's choices are juevos rancheros or the enchiladas & mine are the Indian taco or the steak fingers. Our kids absolutely love their French toast, idk what it is about them but it is the best we've ever had. The tacos are always a good go to item, as well as the carne or bowl of pasole. This food is true New Mexican!“

“Really spectacular place to eat. Affordable, friendly, family-run. The owner's niece, one of the few English-speakers working the day we came, helped us navigate the menu. The menu leans heavily on shrimp. Our only so-so item was the fish ceviche, which had great flavor but chewy texture.“

“Every aspect of this experience was positive. My husband and I were promptly greeted with kindness. Our appetizer Bat & Ball was absolutely Delicious. the sausage and meatballs are made in house with bold savory and mouthwatering seasoning, cooked perfect. My Diablo shrimp was tasty with a spicy kick. great portion too! my husband devoured his chicken piccata! then on top dessert. we had cannolis. Regular and chocolate dipped both scrumptious crispy and savory! I highly recommend! Family business and friendly atmosphere.“

“Just really disappointed. Cheeseburger was requested medium rare. It came super rare cold in middle I think it was pulled right from package. Steak was perfect medium rare and delicious. First lobster bisque was lukewarm, 2nd was delicious and hot. first garlic mashed potatoes was room temp as well. No idea what 2nd was like I requested not to bring 2nd but they brought it anyways I did not try. Lobster was over cooked, funny that old Red Lobster was better to eat. Seems weird to say. They brought cheesecake in to go box. Why make it worse to open at home with 2 mini drops, one side. No care at all, husband and I just looked at it and laughed thought perfect end to awful meal.“

Our server was super friendly and patient with us deciding on what to get since we haven't been in a proper Mexican restaurant in over a decade. The horchata was some of the best I've had and they were very generous with the amount. Everything was super delicious although the chicken was a little on the dryer side. All other meats were perfect.

Parking: During busy times I can see the parking lot filling up fast but the amount of space matches the amount of seating available if you're trying to figure out how busy it is.“

“We had amazing Mexican food at this restaurant. We have learned not to order steak in Albuquerque, but that is not about the restaurant. It seems to be a cultural thing. This restaurant makes all of the tortillas that are served. So good! I highly recommend.“

“Had an absolutely outstanding dinner here, the curry chicken was so good and we had fried plantains and southern fried okra that was so good I could have cried! 11/10 we will eat here again for sure!!

“Best Mexican restaurant sports bar in NM, they got live famous bands that perform every Thursday-Sunday. They got the best tacos in town that will blow your mind, they have great and fast service and very beautiful and waitresses with great customer service“

“The lower rating is due to the confusion with the reservation. Ranchers Club restaurant is NOT open for business or taking reservations. We were looking forward to a nice steak dinner prior to the live entertainment they had arranged for the evening. When we arrived, we sat and dined in the Ranchers Club Lounge, which was having a “soft-reopening”. The place is beautiful. Service was great considering there was only one person working. They are still working out the kinks for their reopening and are struggling to find good/reliable employees (just like everywhere else these days). The drinks were great, food was delicious, and entertainment was awesome. Hopefully, this is a good start leading them to reopening the Lounge and then eventually the entire restaurant.“

“Black Angus is one of my favorite places. They're Campfire Meals are our favorite thing to order. Our food was excellent and well timed. The bar makes great cocktails however, they did have some issues with getting a margarita correct which was weird. It looked like the restaurant was short handed that evening so we'll give them a pass on that one. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and we even got a birthday cookie! It was a great night and we'll be back again and again.“

“I would like to give a huge thank you to all the awesome employees here ? we went in for supper and out of no where we got hit w a really bad storm the window where I was sitting at was starting to leak and they helped us move to a safe place while we finished dinner. They were so nice and made sure everyone was ok. I will definitely be back the food was awesome as well ?“

“I'm from Washington state, and this was the best Long John Silver experience iv ever had. The food: we each got the sampler plate (I'm sorry, I can't remember the name) so that we could get a little if everything. It's obviously all fried, but they fry it well. Each item was crispy and tasted like the item that it was (fish taste like fish, shrimp tasted like shrimp). The dining room: dirty. I dont think I saw anyone wipe any of the tables down after customers leave. (You order at the counter, seat yourself, get your own condiments, toss your own trash, and leave) So that part was kind of grose and, after the fact, made us wonder how clean the kitchen/fryer actually was. However, the service was good. He was nice and brought our food to us. They seemed organized behind the counter.“
