“This was a wonderful date night. The hostess was very polite and thanked my husband and I for our patience even though the wait was only around 5 minutes.

Our waitress Ana was nice and gave us great service.

“As a bit of a picky eater, I can have some trouble finding appetizing things to eat in new restaurants. The vegetable rice and Japanese noodles were spectacular and nostalgic of the type I usually stock at home. Service was also decently fast for the amount of food my party ordered. Only note was that the general atmosphere was somewhat lackluster, but for some takeout its a great spot.“

“Great little locally owned place for Chinese comfort food. Hot and fresh with large portions. The general tso’s chicken and hunan chicken are solid choices. We appreciate that the spice level can be customized as we usually opt for more spice. Vegetables in the dishes are always plentiful, large, and still have a crunch-never soggy. Get the
almond cookies for dessert! Happy Garden is located in a pretty decent shopping center with plenty of parking. However, while the interior is clean and quiet, it does provide a bit of a lackluster, indoor dining experience.“

“They make the best egg drop soup in Albuquerque! Anything off the Chef Specialty menu is absolutely delicious! This is one of only a handful of places that still has a Po Po Platter appetizer. For lunch and dinner, they do offer combination platters at a great price. The most important thing is that it's authentic Chinese food.“

“Always go here for Chinese New Year's. Been going since I was a kid. Staff is always nice especially to kids. Try and go multiple times a year. The prices are reasonable especially for the amount of food that is served. I only marked a higher price cause my family shares food and we usually ordered alot more then person to food ratio.“

It was an additional $1.00 for each added veggie. We added 3 but not told it would be an extra $1.00 for each added veggie until we got the bill.“

“Good news is the new owners kept the old recipes. The food is as good as it ever was.
We had a large party about 25 people. We had large pans of a few entrees. We had white, fried rice and egg rolls. The food pretty much came out at one time as asked. The only problem was they had a hard time serving the drinks and bringing refills.
The new owners just weren't ready for something like this. All in all the party went well the food was good and everybody had a good time.“

We ordered Cream Cheese Wontons (took forever to come out we had to ask for them when we were almost done), the Pork Baos, and the chicken dumplings (steamed). The Baos and the dumplings were delicious!! Then for our entree’s we ordered the Orange Chicken (actually really good not to sweet), the fried noodles with chicken (has a lot of chicken in the mix), and then the Combination Ramen (VERY bland ask for the Chinese chile if you like spicy makes it 100x better). We rank the Baos and dumplings the best part of the meal. And I would say the ramen was good once Chinese chile was added. Would recommend to friends and family. The service wasn’t horrible but we did do some waiting when we needed refills, napkins, and to ask for the chile sauce and our wontons. But they were very busy in the dining room and with togos.“

“It's in the mall food court. I was delighted to find it. The food is great and I think maybe a little cheaper than the usual Panda Express. The atmosphere is standard mall but certainly okay. I have also ordered delivery.

Vegetarian options: Well, they have lots of stir fried vegetables. I'm not a vegetarian so I'm not sure about cross contamination with the meat dishes but it looks ideal to me.

Parking: There is lots of outdoor parking near the entrance to the mall that goes directly to the food court

Kid-friendliness: There are little race cars and things the kids love to ride in, free at the mall. Kids would be able to eat in the comfort of a noisey mall instead of being confined in a restaurant

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there seems to be ramps and the like. I push a dog buggy and we had no problems getting over curbs etc.“

“Been going to this place for several months now in the span of a few years, for the past few years I've lived here in Albuquerque and this Panda Express has been the MOST reliable out of them all! Out of the MANY Panda Express restaurants I've been to, this one here has been the most consistent with it's food, service, and atmosphere. The most recent manager, named Ezra, has been a more recent hire from the time of writing this, despite having worked at this location for a week, he fits right in with everyone else and has been the most accomadating out of all the previous managers before him, he's also more out n' about compared to the others, the food here is excellent too, cooked to perfection nearly 80-90% of the time I've gone here, with the rare few times the food didn't come out right of course, having more flavor than most foods I've had, and not to mention the employees who are usually always friendly and have a funny bone most of the time when chatting with them. I recommend this Panda Express the most in particular to anyone who stops by this place and wants something good to fill their stomachs, or to just chill for a bit.

And to Ezra, if you see this, sorry for lying to you about the review ?, I never once thought about reviewing this place until you mentioned it and I got really nervous, so I lied in order to properly review this place, which, by all means, deserves a proper review after having been here for such a long time and for so many years, don't even know why the thought never crossed my mind honestly, thank you man, I hope you enjoy your time here and wish you luck, I look forward to the next time we meet, sorry for all the trouble lol.“
