Admittedly, we caught these fellas a little off-guard when I called at an unusually bustling Sunday off-brunch-rush-hour. It was Father's Day, and every place in the area had lines out the door at 11:00. had the nicest lunch at Hiway House. First of all, I cannot neglect to mention how uncommonly clean the ladies' room was. I never see bathrooms that clean any more. They had some nice things on the menu. They were simple things like cheese fries, fish and chips, eggs, french fries. I ordered a BLT. It was a double decker. We drove up thinking it was opened. Went inside nobody was there. A gentleman came out of the kitchen and told us that they were closed, but instead of sending us on our way, he opened the kitchen and made us some food. It was some really good food and very nice service.
