Had the mango ice cream roll. She put fresh mango on a frozen disc, diced it small, then poured fresh cream on it and spread it thinly around until it froze. Then she scraped it into rolls, topped with fresh mango and whipped cream. WOW was it good! Kiddo had tutti fruity version of the ice cream roll and loved it. If it can be done with ice cream, this place has probably done it. If you're not in the mood for dairy, they have a fantastic selection of paletas (Mexican popsicles) full of intense fruit flavors. This place is fun for us middle agers, and an absolute blast for kiddos.
So I went here because I am a fan of the TV show Better Call Saul which had several scenes filmed here, but ended up becoming a fan of La Michoacana. Definitely the best chiles rellenos and rice I ever had. The owner told me he makes the chiles rellenos fresh each day and they were not overly heavy with breading as you often find, so the chile flavor could come through.
