About Smok'D

Smok'D is a barbecue spot tucked inside the Market Street grocery, and reviews suggest it is a gem worth trying. The menu offers brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, German sausage, ribs, BBQ chicken, and hearty sides like cornbread muffins, baked potato casserole, coleslaw, beans, green chili Mac and cheese, and pinto beans. The burnt ends brisket is the star—tender, juicy, and loaded with smoky, beefy flavor. The pulled pork sandwich is super tender and melt in your mouth, though some found it extremely salty, with one calling it the saltiest sandwich ever tasted. The brisket was pretty fatty but still delicious. The green chili Mac and cheese had smoked bacon flavor, though the onions inside were crunchy for some, and the Mac was too spicy for others. The baked potato casserole was creamy and loaded with bacon bits, though a little dry for one party. The cornbread muffin is huge and packed with sweet corn kernels and jalapeño. The German sausage was a letdown—tough casing and bland. The condiment bar offers plenty of bread, bbq sauce, pickles, onions, peppers, and packets. Lunch specials include a $6.00 sandwich and bag of chips on Monday. Ordering ahead was excellent, and customer service was excellent all around. The food portion is small, and the buns were cold. No drink cup is provided with the combo meal. Overall, still decent.

This place is bomb and good prices
They had plenty of bread and bbq sauce out as well as pickles, onions, peppers, salt, pepper packets. I got the brisket and it was pretty fatty but still delicious. The pinto beans were very salty (maybe ease up) and my boyfriend said the pulled pork sandwich was the saltiest he had ever tasted. While I liked the green chili Mac and cheese he did not as the onions inside were crunchy. Maybe next time I will try the burnt ends. Would be nice to have another low carb side but overall...read full review
