Don't know why Lucy's get such low ratings.... They were amazing. Great margaritas, great food and great service! We did three drive-bys in Carlsbad....El Charo, El Jimador, and Lucy's..... The last was the best .

We really enjoyed our food and our time at Lucy's! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Lucy herself even came by to say hi! The food really hit the spot after a long day! Great local place to check out as we were visiting Carlsbad...just as it was 25 years ago when we went through Carlsbad the first time! It is easy to see why they take pride in their margaritas!

It’s a MEXICAN restaurant. They have one job, to cook Mexican food…and it was a flop. Our server said “you should have told me” but she didn’t stick around long enough to tell her my food was COLD! I actually showed her the cheese from the Chili relleno. HARD, not melted. She didn’t give two shits. Thankfully we were just passing through and hoping New Mexico had better Mexican down the road.

Went in about 3 pm the hostage was absolutely rude. Was snapping at us had a major attitude the moment we walked in after we sat down n she still being rude she refused to serve us n kicked us out absolutely not cool

Customer service very rude. My waitress her name was Veronica and she was very hateful. Also it took forever for us to get our food. We had to wait about 45 minutes just to get a table and then another 45 to get our food. Will not be eating here again

This place was busy so the service was a little slow but the food was EXCELLENT so I understand why they were so busy.
Excellent experience. Food was hot and fresh. Chips are the best ever with a little seasoning that makes them so craveable. Their red sauce is traditional for New Mexico and favorable but just too spicy for me. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and answered all my many questions with a smile. She made our dining experience perfect. If we ever come this direction again when traveling we will definitely stop back in.
Fast to get in. Server was professional, not friendly or helpful. Food was small portions for the cost. But it was nice to eat with our family.

I had the mushrooms fajitas and they were delicious! The best thing I've ever ordered there. And a nice vegetarian option.
Vegetarian options: Besides the typical salsa and guacamole, I'm not sure what other vegetarian options there are.

I ordered loaded nachos and a chicken salad. I ask if everything could be separated like the chips from the nachos so that the chips wouldn't get soggy because they couldn't be eaten right away, due to them closing at nine and getting off at work at eleven I asked for this salad to be the same way everything separated I asked for no jalapenos and no tomatoes . By the time I got to my nachos the chips were completely soggy. My salad had loads of jalapenos and tomatoes. And absolutely nothing was separated, even though when my order was made. Hilde said good news They will be able to separate everything for you! By the time I opened my plates, the restaurant was closed. It's now Sunday and they're closed today and they are closed Monday. I'm only in town until Monday morning, so I can't even see if this issue can be resolved. I didn't eat any of the food beyond a couple of bites it wasnt the best. Hoping for a return or replacement.
