Turquoise Trail Campgrounds Reviews
This is week, one of 13 weeks stay. We love the park! Easy to access spots, beautiful scenery, and feels somewhat as private as a campground can get. Any issues or questions we have had, have been handle with ease and promptness.
The only negatives that we have found, and it's all depends on your outlook. The park has a new owner who is improving and updating the office area, which is gorgeous 😍, but close, as much of the amenities are at this point. That being said,...read full review
My name is Louie Speyer. I reserved a pull through site for September 19 through 23. I am extremely disappointed in your rv campsite. From your internet site it shows quite a nice facility but upon camping there it has proven a very different story. From poorly detailed bathhouses, token operated showers (which was never communicated to me upon arrival) to the site map showing laundry facilities which there are none. I will do all I can to publicly (via internet) give your campsite...read full review
Nice location with a great staff. Located on the Turquoise Trail. A 15 min drive around the mountain into Albuquerque and about a beautiful 45 min drive up to Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail. Close to the Sandia Crest for beautiful sunsets. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Turquoise Trail Campgrounds offers a peaceful and calming environment with beautiful green views and the soothing sound of bird songs. The camp sites are nicely tucked away, making it an ideal spot for fresh air and a reset. The campsite has electric outlets in all sections, including the tent area for EV charging, and has recently improved its internet connectivity. While wood fires and charcoal cooking are generally not allowed, propane or electric grills serve as good alternatives for meals. The campsite features a bath house with continuous hot water and spacious stalls for a comfortable experience. For accommodation, there are rustic cabins with basic amenities and a larger cabin with a built-in shower and kitchen area. Situated close to Albuquerque and Santa Fe, this campsite offers a premier camping experience with dark skies perfect for stargazing.
Visitors have noted that the camp sites are very close together, which can limit privacy, but many find the area peaceful and quiet. The friendly staff have received praise for their helpfulness, and there are nearby activities such as hiking trails and local shops. Although some guests mentioned that the wooden picnic tables are in rough shape and dumpsters were overflowing during their stay, the overall experience at Turquoise Trail Campgrounds remains positive. With its beautiful surroundings and simple pleasures, it is a great place to enjoy nature.
Recent visitors shared that it is a perfect one-night stop while traveling through, only 25 minutes from town, making it easy to get back on the road quickly. The entrance is a half-mile gravel road that is well maintained and easy to pass. Tent camping sites are well spaced out, and the bathrooms and showers were found to be perfect, clean, and well-stocked. The staff in the office were friendly and helpful, making scheduling a delight. Many guests expressed their willingness to recommend the campground to others.
Others mentioned that this was their second time camping there and would not hesitate to return. It's conveniently located outside Albuquerque and about an hour from Santa Fe. Despite being right off the highway, the area feels very relaxing with beautiful views. The showers and bathrooms are well maintained, and the lighting makes early morning walks safe. Showers are timed at 7 minutes, which guests found sufficient for a basic shower. The place is very well equipped, with clean bathrooms, a well-kept dishwashing area, and staff available in golf carts to assist if needed. Campers described the atmosphere as friendly and down to earth, with great scenery, facilities, and a wonderful vibe.
