I went through this area during a blizzard snowstorm as a homeless person experiencing an insane amount of cruelty at the hands of other people and the owner/manager was incredibly generous and helped me to get a hotel room at the local hotel. It was really nice of him and I will never forget it. My tent never would have made it through the snow.
We drove through Chama on our roadtrip and stopped at Subway, it was super clean and everything tasted fresh. We were hesitant pulling into town but were super hungry and glad we stopped. The owner keeps everything spotless and was very friendly.

Cons: Every time I have been there, at least one and sometimes all of the employees are obviously high. And it's pretty much like any other Subway, so there's a ceiling on how good a sandwich you can get. (Just my opinion of course.)
