Chiricahua Apache Plaza Reviews
The chiricahua cafe has been permanently closed due to lack of business. There are fresh food options, such as champs chicken and highway 54 pizza.
I have live in Deming for 7 yrs and one of my and my husband favorite place to stop several times a month for him to get cigarettes and eat anytime day or night was Apache Homeland cafe and store!! They were the only place on highway 10 in NM that you could get an homemade Indian Taco and homemade brownies and deserts!!! We were so excited when they were building on to add Chiricahua Plaza! Amazing place to stop for truckers and families! Exceptionally clean, great selections for quick food too. But I have to say, the cafe is phenomenal!!!!! We ordered the Indian taco, the cheesesteak with hatch chilis and a brownie….all of which were delicious! They also have an amazing history lesson on the Chiricahua Apache Indians. Grateful for a place that is so diverse in its culture! This Missouri family will most definitely be back any time we pass through!

The Chiricahua Apache Plaza is a welcoming and well-maintained truck stop and convenience store that travelers find safe and reliable. The friendly staff takes pride in their work, providing excellent service and a clean, organized store. The store offers a wide variety of products, including fresh food offerings with a deli section featuring hot and cold foods. While prices may be higher than expected, the quality and freshness of ingredients make it a great stop for travelers. The facilities are top-notch, with spotless and well-maintained restrooms, ample parking space, and a clean shower and trucker lounge. There is also a nice dog area and lounge areas, making it comfortable for families. The parking lot is paved, lined, and free of potholes, providing a quiet space for rest. Travelers can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, with good meals available upstairs in the cafe, including highly recommended omelets. The cafe serves home cooking, such as meatloaf dinner and Indian taco, at reasonable prices. The Plaza also offers beer, wine, cigars, and a cigar selection. Friendly personnel are always engaging, and the lounge area includes vibrating chairs for long-distance drivers and truckers. Visitors can learn about the Warm Springs Apaches through informative displays. The Plaza has a few showers and W/D’s, though these were not used by recent visitors. It is one of the few places that still feel personal and genuine before large chains take over. Travelers often wait out dust storms in the comfortable lounge or enjoy playing checkers while appreciating the large, spotless bathrooms. Overall, the Chiricahua Apache Plaza is a reliable stop for gasoline, snacks, and friendly service—an ideal place to rest and refresh on the road.
