This was a fun stop on our way through! We really enjoyed chatting with Eliza, who runs the restaurant with her husband! Super-friendly and welcoming with a southern menu that included many things we just don’t get in Canada. Delicious food! She sent us off in the direction of town for the annual duck race & a couple of slices of southern pie! Such lovely small-town hospitality! So glad we happened upon this little cafe!
I went in and I was the only one there for about 10 minutes. the lady was so kind she told me how to purchase land in deming and what to look for amd how to get a well drilled in the area locally. she gave me a run down of the surrounding areas and the jalapeno corn bread was great. I felt at home and the good was incredible. I met her husband as well. when I get back to deming I will definitely be stopping by. What a spot! Mom and pop: Elisa and Curtis. Absolutely great food. Nothing fancy, just good old southern food cooked with love and all that that implies. The physical plant isn't much but it's comfortable and there is even an indoor dog friendly dining area. Elisa and Curtis couldn't be more gracious hosts and the food is delicious.
