If you're making the trip between Santa Fe and Taos, this out-of-the-way locals hangout is well worth seeking out. Friendly folks, historically old but clean and full of character dining space, and most importantly, authentic and delicious classic New Mexican comfort food. It's impossible to not walk out of this place with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your belly.
We used Zuly's for an event there in Dixon during the Studio Tour. The enchiladas were exceptional>the best NM food I've had in ages. Friends, step in our take out; you too will be quite pleased.
After a hike, hungry, didn’t see any place to eat in Pilar. Asked the nice gentlemen at the RioGrandeGorgeVisitorCenter if he could point us to a lunch spot. He enthusiastically suggested Zuly’s, 15 minutes away. Wow! We had no expectation of finding someplace this good. Excellent! A casual place not only open late afternoon, but also with 3 guys playing acoustic music (Tres Veterans) and a nice outside patio.
