One doesn't have to go to Italy to get a good Moltepulciano. Black Mesa has created a wine from classic grapes that taste distinctly New Mexican and exotically enjoyable. Rustic, dark and with a strong fruit, this wine is smooth. I was pleasantly impressed and became curious of New Mexico's mysterious charm. To find a good wine in the desert is a testimony that New Mexico is the Land of Enchantment. Black Mesa, thank you
We enjoyed our time at Black Mesa Winery. We did a flight of 5 wine tastings and had the charcuterie board with toast, jelly, cheese and pecans. It was delicious! My favorite tasting was the Criadera. I love the indoor and outdoor dining options. The staff was great and even offered a free rubber duck when we told her we were celebrating our wedding anniversary here. We purchased the Honey cider and Bite Me cherry cider to go. They were both great! This was a wonderful experience!
The Black Mesa Winery is an excellent place to perform music. I am the percussionist for The Pulse Jazz Trio. The band has been really enjoying the atmosphere wine, cider, beer, food and really good service from the staff and owner for more than a year. We are looking forward to returning again on July 19,2026 from 2PM -5PM for more Jazz and Mimosas Sundays. Jerry U ROCK!
