It is a busy place that serves New Mexican food, and the waitstaff really work hard. It would have been an alright experience if it wasn’t for the hostess telling us about how bad “Gallup sucks” (it doesn’t, I know because I live here)
We have gone to Genero's for years. Whatever you like to eat, get it smothered with fresh Hatch green chili. They are almost always a full house, so drop someone near the door while you go park.
We just left Genaro’s, after enjoying a delicious dinner. We split a stuffed sopapilla and it was definitely filling enough for two people! We did order an extra chips and salsa. We can usually gauge how good Mexican food is going to be, by how good their chips and salsa are. Definitely the case here….delicious chips and salsa!
