This place WAS nice to stay at, the girl that checked us in was sweet. The girls after her were total “Bs” 😡 Yesterday called the receptionist about being out of toilet paper and the Kleenex had only a few sheets left in it and made no effort to get us some toilet paper. Was told there shipment was arriving on Monday 😐 Good thing I keep extra toilet paper all the time. Checking out the receptionist was the “B” again YDL!! They need new NICER more respectful staff 😡
The food is quite good. The burgers are great. I wanted salmon, and a salad. They whipped me up a delicious salmon Cesar. The fried pickeles are the best. The chocolate brownie is decadent, and tasty. The hotel is comfortable, and nice.
Hilton Garden Inn ...............
Room was clean and beds are comfortable. Check in was smooth. We had dinner at the bar, which opened at 5 pm. Desiree was amazing; she was working alone and not only provided great service to us but also handled a large wedding that created a rush at the bar. One note to management: this bartender needed additional support. It was disappointed to see one staff member (I believe his name is Quentin) standing around on his phone and not helping when a large crowd appeared.
Another great stay in this lovely hotel with lovely, friendly people. This was our second time here. It’s close to the I40 for easy access, yet the room was extremely quiet. Even with our room facing the highway to watch the trains in a distance :)) Nice bar & restaurant area, and delicious made to order breakfast. It’s also a great use of Hilton Honors points (Diamond) and we will definitely return!
For the most part, our stay at this hotel was very good. Check-in was smooth, the front desk staff was helpful, the room was average to good, and the food service in the restaurant was good. Location was very convenient to I-40 as well as some local points of interest, which was ideal for us as this stay was part of a driving tour around New Mexico and Arizona. There was only one black mark to our two-night stay. On our second night, we went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner (food was excellent, by the way), but when we got back to the room, we smelled a very strong sewer gas smell in our bathroom. We called the front desk, and they sent a maintenance tech up to check. He came with a gallon bottle of air freshener in hand, which he poured down the shower drain. When I asked, he told me that this was a problem they've had before, and usually dealt with just by pouring air freshener into the drain and "flushing it out". If what he said is accurate, it seems this hotel has an existing issue with their sewer plumbing that needs immediate attention for their guests' health and safety.
In a very crowded little city this location is the crown jewel. Super clean and beautiful with every amenities that you need to relax and chill from a long day of traveling. The only negative was the smell of the bathroom when I checked in and it really didn’t get any better. But the night audit guy Daniel F. Was extremely helpful and polite and even acknowledged the loyalty of being a Hilton Diamond member.
Inattentive managers, mostly concerned with texting and waiting for closing time. UNTRAINED bartenders who use various steak sauces to make awful drinks. Do yourself a favor and buy package... they don't care
Clean. Air conditioning was quiet. Front desk staff were very accommodating when getting additional coffee and creamer. Dinner at restaurant was delicious! Will definitely stay again as we pass through several times a year

Love this hotel! All staff were friendly & very helpful. I traveled with my two teens and they loved it as well. Wal mart was walking distance and several restaurants to walk to our you can stay and eat at the hotel restaurant who had amazing food esp the breakfast.
No water to shower at 5 a.m. Had to go to a truck stop to get a shower. Was never informed at check in or otherwise about no water. Front desk clerk sarcasticly told me the water was back on as I was leaving the hotel to go to the truck stop. Noisy from train traffic. If I wanted to hear trains all night I would have slept in my truck next to the tracks.
rude front desk staff and manager, filthy rooms, chairs and ottomans covered in stains, bathtub finish is cracked and sharp. It completely worn out on the bottom with the gray color with white jagged edges. Checked another room, same problems.
We were greeted last night with a very friendly kind and courteous front desk attendant! Room was very clean and comfortable! The staff always greeted us with good evening or good mornings and the food and waitress at the restaurant was very good! Coolest thing was the flower and detail given to the Kleenex in our bathroom!
Due to weather, we were forced to stay in Gallup until the highway became passable. Everyone at the hotel was welcoming and friendly. It actually turned into a pleasant experience. We would go right back the same hotel if we need to stay again.
