This place is ridiculous!!! I asked for the gravy for my egg food young to be on the side because I won't eat it all and I don't want wet eggs later. I was told they can't do that. We sat down at 5 minutes before 3pm and their lunch special ends at 3pm. Since I couldn't get my egg food young the way I wanted I was going to get a lunch special. I was told it was about to be 3pm so no. I immediately got up and left. I understand they may get the local business, but if you are passing through don't waste your time with their foolishness. Also, I asked the young lady if the gravy was thick like gravy or more watered down. She said it was like water gravy. Just the about ridiculousness made me wonder how are they in business.

I was very surprised by this place. We went at around 2:30 in the afternoon on a weekday and it wasn’t very busy. Some of the food was under the lamp for a while but for the most part it was pretty good and worth the price

My family and I chose this restaurant because we enjoy Chinese food buffets and we were traveling and wanted something quick. The exterior of the restaurant looked a little run down, but the inside decor was pretty and the booths felt clean and private. Unfortunately, the men’s restroom wasn’t clean: one stall was out of order, and one stall had a door that didn’t lock well. The women’s restroom was clean though.
We were seated quickly and greeted by our friendly server right away. There were a lot of options on the buffet to choose from, but some of them looked like they had been sitting for quite a while and some didn’t taste very good. I was hoping to have a salad from the salad bar, but the lettuce was brown, so I skipped that part. I enjoyed the steamed buns and General Tso’s chicken the most. At the end of our meal, our server brought us each an individual serving of vanilla ice cream which was a fun surprise!

Surprisingly good chinese food.

Would totally recommend if you're passing through and hungry.

Honestly? I grew up eating at king dragon, and after the ownership change I REALLY tried to keep an open mind 😞😒 but the new owners? A word of advice I get your trying to make the place your own but you quite literally shouldn’t. There are people who can make a previously owned place their own, but PLEASE go back to the original 😒 new food choices? I always see them full for a reason. And I’m really not trying to be harsh, so I am sorry, but PLEASE go back to what it was! The original recipes and soup bowls and soup spoons all brought genuine Chinese cuisine vibes. Don’t buy a Chinese restaurant and go buying cheap plastic crap that doesn’t even clean well. I found 3 spoons in one meal seating that were gross! Please get a hold of reality, I get your trying to make cost cuts but what you’re doing is NOT IT. Spending more money trying to make different dishes when you could just spend it on what originally worked and built the customer fan base in the first place is where you would get more customers and keep loyal ones too. Please don’t make this beautiful delicious place become some cheap run of the mill crappy Chinese food place, cuz all these years it was NEVER that horrible. Please.

The food wasn’t as fresh as you’d expect from a buffet. Female manager said I was the only one to complain. I stood my ground and told her I’m not from around here and this food wasn’t at all good. Everything either tasted a day old or left out too long. The food was hard and/cold.

Update: my son had food poisoning last night. 5/31/25

Simple dishes:
Chicken chow mein tasted sweet (added sugar?); the sweet/sour pork was served cool to warm; the white and fried rice was grainy/warm (reheated? and not fresh). We ordered off the menu and not from the buffet. It should have taste like there was effort to prepare it. It was awful!

People! This where you eat?

Decided to try this restaurant tonight for the first time. I was interested in the buffet. I’m still fairly new to the area. I won’t go back.
The service to our table was great, and that’s all the good out of this place.
Most of what I tried that looked halfway decent from the buffet was either too old to have been served or lacked flavor. The beef, in the beef and broccoli, had a liver texture. The teriyaki chicken looked ancient and dried up, it was tough and did not taste anything like teriyaki should. The fried noodles were spaghetti noodles with a flare. The egg rolls were old, greasy and lacked flavor. I didn’t dare touch either of the soups, they looked like barf in their respective dishes. The peach dumpling, I quickly spat it all back out in my napkin, something died in that. The muscles looked good, and then tasted like they were a few days old and should’ve been tossed. I passed on the salad and fruit sections, the lettuce needed reviving, and the fruit was old and withered looking. I honestly don’t think anything on the buffet was remotely fresh.

Had the buffet. It was A-grade. Way better than any buffet has a right to be

Does anyone remember when they were located at the Plaza where big lots and subway are at (off of Jefferson Ave.)?

The original owner here did great, at the old Plaza. I remember the owners would always greet and thank the tables. The food was so delicious. Off the menu and on the menu. The buffet, omg, was always good.

Idk if this spot off of 491 is under new management. But I think they will eventually prepare food as it was in the past. I hope.

My items: noodles (spaghetti noodles) and rice noodles. The fried rice had no eggs, corn or peas and was not fried. Soy sauce was just added, it was super salty.

The food was not hot. It was luke warm.

I got fried goods and it wasn't great. The egg roll was cold. The sticky pot was very hard. The whole fried area was either left there all day and or over cooked to where the meat was very burnt inside.

Egg drop soup was good.

Overall, I was disappointed with my meal. It was not worth the price. I thought of panda express. But they don't have egg drop soup and, rice noodles. Bu they have good management and a good team.

I wish you all the best.

Kind of what you would expect of Asian food in the middle of Tex Mex country.

Different item choices for Chinese buffets I'm used to. But the sushi was just as good as most places.
