Worth. Every. Penny. I try to eat here as much as possible! Such a treat when I am going through Gallup.
The brisket (moist) and Okra are DELISH and the people at the counter are always warm and kind.

Gallup needed a place like this. Staff and food are great!
Found this amazing BBQ spot. Friendly staff, brisket, ribs and BBQ beans where amazing. Will definitely stop by there again

Scooter's BBQ in Gallup, New Mexico is a recommended stop on Route 66 and off I40. The restaurant is clean and cool inside, and the people at the counter are always warm and kind. Everything was amazing to us, the people, the food, and it was clean and cool inside. The staff was very friendly and smiling. The food definitely was excellent. The smoked meats are the best, especially the wings, brisket and pulled pork. The brisket (moist) and Okra are delish. The ribs were very moist. The brisket was moist. The smoked turkey is amazing. The smoked turkey baked potato and the smoked turkey plate are yum. The fries are homemade and seasoned just right. The green bean fries, onion straws and French fries were all delicious and fresh. The Texas Torpedo were hot, but so yummy. The cole slaw and baked potatoes too. The best Mac 'n cheese ever. The banana pudding is a treat. All of the menu items are amazing and flavorful. Worth every penny. Worth the stop. Should be on a BEST of The SouthwestsBBQ for sure. Highly recommend.
