We enjoyed our visit to Sparky's. Quite the place! If you haven't been before and don't already know what is offered, it feels a bit rushed to be selecting from the menu board right at the entry door, with others waiting in line behind you. When in a place all about chilis, that's what you have to try, right? I had green chilis beef tacos and they were good, and their signature milkshake with green chilis in it, and it was a unique experience. I drank most of it but had to sort some of the chilis out to finish.

Parking: Just short drive up the old highway to hatch New Mexico.. Good food and good visit with the sparky's crew.. and a short drive south on I-25 back to Cruces!

We go at least 10 times a year. 3 hour drive taking the back roads from El Paso and it's just wonderful. Food is like state fair food (delicious). Nothing healthy on the menu, but who cares?!?

Probably your best stop on the way to/from Arizona. Plus, photo ops! Maximalist Americana to the extreme and lots of fun.
The green chile burger is legit. Not much heat when we were there, but the consistency and flavor were on point. If you want to taste New Mexico, this is where you stop.
There are gendered stall bathrooms in the main room, but also a non-gendered single room bathroom in the room with the stage.
Great place to stop to stretch and catch a bite with some antique shops within walking distance to spend some time digesting before hitting the road again.
Parking: Parking behind the restaurant, but also across the street. Follow the signs.
Kid-friendliness: Totally family friendly.
