Food was exceptional and frankly surprising. Vegan options for my lady and the burger was perfect. Not a typical restaurant in style but weather was perfect to eat outside. Great spot for a good feed before or after experiencing this amazing park.Vegetarian options: Fried bread is simply superb and ask for vegan options as they have several.
In this small cafe at a national monument in the mountains of New Mexico I was able to get a vegan burger with vegan cheese on a toasted bun with caramelized onions - it was delicious!! ?

Having enjoyed burgers for 60 years, I can say with some authority that Dave’s Elk burger was without parallel my all- time favorite burger. We drive 60+ miles to get here for lunch, and it is always worth it. The wine pairings suggested for the burger and the other plates enjoyed among my party were all exquisite.
