“I first experienced the Old Toad Restaurant when l was 17 years old. We had just moved from El Paso to Bent, NM. I was starting my senior year in high school in Tularosa. The owner of the ranch my step father worked for asked if l knew how to wait tables. In fact l did. Henry, Maria and l ran the restaurant my entire senior year. My mom even baked the pies and helped in the kitchen. I learned how to make salsa and red chile. This was 44 years ago”

“Had a wonderful dinner. I had eaten at the restaurant twice once in November and again in December. The atmosphere of the restaurant on my second visit was wonderful and the manager was very attentive- I believe his name was Carter. It was all around a great experience.”

“contrary to the other reviews written, we came around closing time and the staff were great! they werent overly “customer service-y” which to me is a good thing. The cashier was efficient, well mannered and helped us out greatly. The cooks behind him were working professionally and proficiently. There was someone trying to return a pizza because they wanted it cooked more but the cooks informed them that they couldn't just put the pizza back in the oven because they had already touched it and that would be cross contamination and that made me feel better about them being clean. So if you want your pizza well done i suggest letting them know before you get your pizza. Other than that, our experience was great our food was great and i would DEFINITELY come back to her every time.”
