“While driving through Portales, we found ourselves at Sweetwaters at Landalls grabbing some goodies. It was our first time visiting this establishment…AND for the future, it definitely will NOT be our last time!! We had such a fun time meeting Landall, Monique, and other members of their team. Everyone was so nice, personable, gave great menu recommendations, explained the history of the restaurant, and overall made our short stop there such a wonderful and memorable experience!!! The Huckleberry ice cream is AMAZING and we had the very kind opportunity to try the Legacy Sandwich and Tomato soup. FRIENDS!!!! This is what sweet dreams are made of…goodies from Sweetwaters!!! Highly recommend stopping at this wonderful restaurant - whether it’s for a sit-down meal or just stopping by to take it ‘to go’ - you won’t be disappointed in the delicious food, the fun stories, or the thought-provoking signs!!!💙”

“Absolutely recommend! The girls at the counter were incredible, really friendly and courteous. The coffee was fantastic, and I’m a coffee snob lol Small town shop, big city vibe.”

“I have tried almost every item on El Ranchos menu, which are all to die for, but my favorites are the chips and salsa, Chili rellenos, Enchiladas, and beef fajitas! The staff are friendly and provide a cozy, relaxing atmosphere! What are your favorites?”

“First off, check the prices here on the FB page, because they are the most current. Any online menus from other sites are hopelessly out of date. Having said that, the food here is delicious. The Pad Thai is amazing, with plenty of tamarind sauce and flavor...and portions that won't leave you hungry. The deep fried mushrooms with cream cheese and krab are a local specialty, as are the shrimp deep fried in a nest of crispy noodles. I've never had a bad meal here. The food prep is great and the service has never let me down.”
