“While driving through Portales, we found ourselves at Sweetwaters at Landalls grabbing some goodies. It was our first time visiting this establishment…AND for the future, it definitely will NOT be our last time!! We had such a fun time meeting Landall, Monique, and other members of their team. Everyone was so nice, personable, gave great menu recommendations, explained the history of the restaurant, and overall made our short stop there such a wonderful and memorable experience!!! The Huckleberry ice cream is AMAZING and we had the very kind opportunity to try the Legacy Sandwich and Tomato soup. FRIENDS!!!! This is what sweet dreams are made of…goodies from Sweetwaters!!! Highly recommend stopping at this wonderful restaurant - whether it’s for a sit-down meal or just stopping by to take it ‘to go’ - you won’t be disappointed in the delicious food, the fun stories, or the thought-provoking signs!!!💙”

“We order from here a lot. Today we had a slight mess up on our order, and the manager showed the absolute highest professionalism. She went above and beyond. They set the example for all other restaurants to follow. Try the chile relleno plate with jalapeno cream sauce. It is by far the best thing on any menu in town. You will not be disappointed.”

“I went to this BBQ spot in Portales, NM and it was delicious!! If you are ever in Portales and want some Awesome smoked BBQ, stop by and pick you up a plate!! I'll be going back real soon!!”

“We were impressed with the selection on the buffet and the hibachi grill. The lady behind the counter, who also waited or table, providing us with drinks was exceptional. It was all around a very positive experience. We will return here in the future. Our one complaint is that for lunch buffet we felt it was a little bit pricey. I would say that you definitely get what you pay for in most places, and it’s not that I felt it was somehow way over priced in an enormous amount, but I did not think that that was quite the price that was the general going rate for a Chinese lunch buffet. If there was a larger selection on both the buffet and the hibachi grill, I might feel a little more comfortable with what we paid. It was $55 for four of us.”
