Of all of the taco places I have been none have had salsa like Taco Box. It's hardly any wonder though considering they make every single cup in house.
Always great to back home and have one if the best green Chile cheeseburger!!!!
Love this location! It’s a very fun/kitschy vibe and the employees are super friendly and helpful. Their in house hot and mild salsas are so good! They went great with the green chili brisket burrito that we had and were also great to dip their crunchy tots in. Great fresh brewed sweet tea and I recommend the coconut flavoring added to it! This spot is worth a drive to Portales.

Taco Box is a fantastic stop for fresh and hot tacos, green chili cheeseburgers, and cheesy tater tots. The staff is friendly and the drive-thru atmosphere is beautiful with welded cacti. The food is decent and the green chile is really good, far better than other places up the road. It is a favorite place to grab a quick bite and the atmosphere is very nice and quaint. Customers love the delicious food, and the staff is always very kind and patient. The quality of food for the price makes it a must hit spot when stopping in town.
