Rise + Roast Reviews
Rise and Roast Donuts is an absolute gem. Ian and his team are simply tremendous. We host quite a few events at work, and Rise and Roast has become our go to for crowd‑pleasing donuts and coffee and they never disappoint.
The donuts are consistently fresh, creative, and downright delicious (they disappear fast every single time), and the coffee is the perfect pairing to keep everyone happy and energized. What truly sets them apart, though, is the service. Ian always delivers...read full review
My husband ordered doughnuts last night for pick up this morning. The apple fritters were burned and had very little apple in them. The cinnamon rolls were huge but flavorless. The rest of the doughnuts were okay but we got the wrong ones. We got plain instead of the lemon blue berry, and the spiced. We also got a maple glazed instead of strawberry glazed. We were upcharged for the missing spice doughnut. The outside of the box was also coated in glaze. I understand that it's...read full review
Stopped in today because I was finally in the area of the location in Rio Rancho! Spoke to the manager who was great and told me all the available options. Forgot my coupon at home but still gave me the discount, which was a nice surprise. Got 5 different donuts and tried a few bites of each!!

Rise + Roast offers delightful donuts, including Boston Cream and blueberry cake varieties, celebrated for being light and airy. While the selection may not be the largest, customers appreciate that the donuts are always fresh and presented well, looking good and uniform. The friendly staff contributes to a pleasant experience, with employees known for being accurate with orders and very nice. The cinnamon rolls are large, noted as the biggest in Rio Rancho, though some find them lacking in cinnamon flavor, often tasting mostly glazed. The apple fritter is soft, but it may lack chunky apple bits and cinnamon typically expected. The peach cobbler is nice, yet some believe it uses canned peaches instead of fresh. The restaurant’s coffee and smoothies—like the pomegranate cherry smoothie and Carmel Coconut Latte—are highly praised, although some have not tried the coffee. Customers often look forward to treats such as the apple fritter and cinnamon roll. Despite slightly high prices, visitors feel the treats are worth a special visit, especially when enjoyed with friendly service. The high-quality boxes for the donuts also stand out compared to other places, making Rise + Roast a recommended stop for anyone in the area.
