Visiting from Denver, this was our first stop for a pre-family glass of wine. After meeting Frank and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere it became our home base for the next 5 days. Prices on a bottle of wine were 0.5 point, meaning you can buy the bottle for $20 at Cliffs or $30 from Ahmyo, this is unheard of, a great value. You must try the Gouda that the slightly melted and served with an array of crackers including a buttery Ritz we would highly recommend for pairing. Indoor and outdoor seating along with a plethora of games such as your beloved Battleship. We found parking within a block each day. Frank was key to our experience and couldn’t recommend him enough.

We stumbled upon this place and couldn’t be happier! We assumed it was a small wine bar, but were shocked when we walked out back and found the incredible garden. The fall leaves were amazing and each seating area was cuter than the last. This would also be an amazing space for an event!
Went in on Sunday 9/28: The patio of this bar is very beautiful and they have a nice selection of wines. Unfortunately the service was terrible. When we arrived the bartender ignored us waiting at the counter for about 15-20 minutes while he cleared dishes. The bar was quite empty at this time so it was surprising. He walked past us multiple times without acknowledging us, or apologizing for the wait. It got so bad the group of 5 people in front of us just left. When he finally came to take our orders we asked him two simple questions about the wine. He gave very blunt one word answers and offered no descriptions or any effort to help us understand this wine. He seemed genuinely annoyed to have to help anyone. When I go to a wine bar part of what I am paying higher prices for is the ambience and having a bartender who is knowledgeable in wine. The service left such a negative aftertaste I would not return.

I stopped in Santa Fe for an afternoon before driving to the airport in ABQ. I love Canyon Road but I feel i have seen so much of it before. Ahmyo was such a surprise! It was the perfect slice of cozy and rustic, with well-appointed taste, sprawling gardens, fantastic conversation, and I'm sure it will become a core memory. It was blissful and calm, and I felt transported. What a nice way to end a vacation! Thanks to Tim for the perfect service and guidance on the list. Can't wait to come back.
