A pleasant and relaxing resturant with beautiful covered outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and reasonably attentive. I was also very inpressed by the menu and the price - which beats several other local resturants. I ordered the watermelon and chilli gazpacho (soup of the day) and was blown away. Unfortunately, I also ordered the seared scallops and pork which, while beautifully presented, was tragically disappointing. The pork was poorly prepared and immensely fatty, and the scallops were slightly past their best - with an Unfortunate fishy taste and aroma, rather than a sweet butty flavor. The chilli gastrique, corn and chorizo to garnish were delightful.
Hopefully, this was a one off poor dish.

Excellent breakfast and a lot of options to choose from to satisfy everyone! Service was prompt and everything tasted delicious. I’d recommend the Huevos Rancheros!

We were in Santa Fe for four days. Between breakfast and dinner We ate at Amaya 4 times. I believe this is the best kept secret in town. Some might be shy about eating at a restaurant in a hotel and I understand but please don’t let that be a concern. I gave five stars across the board and they deserve each one. Try the stuffed Poblanos.

We were initially a little put off as the space looked somewhat… well used and vintage. The staff was friendly but a little bit unkempt. But then the food came out and everything was excellent. I had the fish and chips, which I would give 4 stars. My wife had the chicken enchiladas and that was a better dish. We also split the cream brûlée - which was perfect.

Don’t sleep on Amaya while in Santa Fe! My girlfriend and I were passing through town on a roadtrip and happed to be staying at the adjoined hotel (also great, by the way) and were tired from driving so didn’t want to venture far for dinner. Atmosphere was cozy and welcoming (they even had live music!) staff was warm and seemed like they really enjoy working there and the food was outstanding!

Outstanding service and happy hour 🍻🥗 Unfortunately, I came to enjoy the beautiful fire place and 2 lady’s literally pulled up the large chairs to cover the entire fire place from everyone else. It’s disrespectful and selfish. Out of town folks or local? Doubt local, they would have more sense than this!

Well, I gave a three and that’s because I’d give a 5 for the part time chef who not only puts love but honor in his work and attitude which shows in his artistry of food. It saddens me that the full time chef here has the worst attitude, is lazy, and, well idk must hate his job because it shows in taste, quality, and the plain and same disrespect that his gives customers as well as his food. I’ll make sure I know who is there before I order from here again. Because I would know every time just by looking at the plate. So, sad… I miss the days no matter what career was chosen people took pride in their work. That’s just not the case anymore. I remember why that was one career path I would not choose because if I’m not happy my food will show it. Go here definitely but if you don’t like it… you will know it’s not the right chef. Please trade places! Sorry. Oh I’ll add photos soon so you can understand one part of it.

We stayed at Hotel Santa Fe a few years ago and ate at Amaya twice. Our dining experience on October 6 was extremely disappointing, not at all what we expected. At 8:00 p.m., only four tables were occupied. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes then got up to leave. A waitress waived us down and apologized for causing us to wait. We returned to our table and ordered; we should have left. My chicken potpie was large, crust was flaky and crisp. However, the filling had very few tiny cubes of chicken and tasted as though it came from a can. My wife’s green chili cheese enchiladas were dry. Chicken was stringy. They appeared to be thrown together and overcooked. Service was lacking. I cannot recommend Amaya nor Hotel Santa Fe after this experience. With so many fine options in Santa Fe, we will not return.

I eat here periodically when staying at the hotel. I’m always shocked at how bad the service is. I was half way done with dinner before my drink arrived. Food is ok but much better options in Santa Fe.
