Arable is now open for lunch, so a friend and I tried it yesterday. They're carving out a new identify in what I would call local gastropub food, and succeeding nicely. My burger was delicious, clearly freshly ground beef and cooked just right, with a lovely brioche-style bun and fresh sides, plus very good skinny fries. My friend's salad was beautifully presented and a nice combination of flavors, also fresh. And the dessert our waiter suggested--a pear tart--really...
The food was spectacular, Ben the bartender is the best, and the atmosphere was outstanding. The pris fixe menu for $75 was a great deal. Hands down the best New Year’s Eve meal I’ve has in a long time!
It seems they are under the shadow of the previous owner since they have carried on with the name Arable. I can understand the negative comments about the current Arable but lots of them are not exactly fair.This was our second time there since they reopened and I would have to say that it was a totally different set of staff working there again while the food quality was similar. My companion enjoyed his Bison Bolognese pasta and I liked my Pork chop although it was a bit undercooked...
