Went to a surprise party here, and everything was soo nice. The room was spacious, and cleaned and all the staff was soo nice.

I had dinner and enjoyed the veggie burger on the Hawaiian bun. The food was great. I am so grateful they were open late because I was working a late shift and needed some food. Thanks, and God bless you all.

The old location was SO MUCH better! We used to enjoy the Boxcar burger and laid-back sports bar feel of the old location. Unfortunately, the new location has terrible parking, meh food, slow service, higher prices, and to top it off... it's full of tourists. It's just another bland downtown tourist restaurant.

I had not been in a while but gave it a try lastnight. I absolutely had to keep from laughing when I tried one entrance and was told it was VIP and $30 entrance. I was finally directed to the entrance for the common folk and paid $15 to enter. The music was danceable though not great. After less than 2 hours police and an ambulance were there. I cut my night short. It is unfortunate that Santa Fe has so few night options but that gives boxcar a space they could rise to the occasion of filling with class, safety, and better music!

Jacky Q, our server, was more interested in talking to coworkers and fixing her hair than paying attention to our table. It is service like this that gives a bad first impression. My Cuba Libre bowl was described as having brown rice, but instead I got a cold lump of white rice. No silverware, no condiments, had to call for someone to help us. This was my first, and last time at the Boxcar. It's basically a sports bar that serves food. If you go for drinks, you'll be fine. Don't go for the service, unless you get the friendly guy hustling in the bar area; he was doing a great job with his tables. The food was just ok. The Blue Corn Cafe, which once used to occupy this space, was much better.

I just want to let everyone about my experience Dining at Boxcar. Our party of four was seated in a timely manner. But the help/ waiter was overwhelmed waiting on tables. Where he did not order all of our orders. Did not bring our waters as we asked. Food was not great as we thought it would be for the price. Also the couple sitting next to us also had issues with there food order. Water condiments. And he complained to the manager and left very unhappy also as we were not Happy either. I don't recommend this place at all and if you do you will be Disappointed âšď¸

Always a good time! The supper club every month is absolutely delicious! If you need a place for a party, catering for big events boxcar has you covered!

Good drinks and good service while we were there.
We were there on a Tuesday. The bar closed almost 2 hours early at 12:30AM because âthe DJ wasnât making any moneyâ. This doesnât make sense to me because why close the bar and boot out 10+ paying customers who were ordering drinks every 10 minutes. The DJ shouldnât have anything to do with this as they could have just went home early.
Love that it's open later than most places. Great variety on the menu and karaoke/ live music... definitely a Santa Fe must do!!

Friendly service and a decent beer selection, but very much lacking character and charm. You could find this bar just about anywhere in America

I hosted a meetup dinner at Boxcar last night and it was wonderful. We had over 20 people and every one of them liked the food and also our server, Brie. Thanks to the management and to Brie for a great evening!
