The staff and the food were amazing. When the owner came out to greet my family, he took special care of us the entire time. We are from Southlake Texas and we have good Mexican food but el Callejón was world class food and service. Highly recommended.

The pork in my posole tasted canned. The tacos were just ok. Service
Near Cali-Mex? Having grown up in Southern California in the 70s and 80s there is a California dialect of Mexican food that hardly exists outside of "Bart Earl's" Original Red Onion in Palos Verdes CA. El Callejon is as close as it gets to Cali-Mex in Santa Fe; hard shell tacos would be an amazing addition. New Mexican food is good, I'll note Tex-Mex is an abomination, enough said.

Perfect amount of spice on the cheese enchiladas for me and a lot of diversity of flavor in the vegetables. The cactus Margarita sure did go down easily I could have consumed many more. A very enjoyable experienceVegetarian options: Tofu and squash options in entrees

Keep wanting to love it but the food quality and portion just doesn’t match the prices. Drinks were okay, nothing special good or bad. So I have been disappointed each time over the course of a couple years.

Really nice staff and good cocktails but food was pretty bad. Shrimp ceviche was poor with an avocado that literally couldn’t be cut without a knife. The fajitas were terrible: shrimp and vegetables in a tomato sauce that was inedible. Don’t like to write a poor review as staff was kind and attentive but something not right in that kitchen. Plenty of great restaurants in Santa Fe. Our suspicion is this one survives as it is located in a prime spot.

I really wanted to love this place so that I could support smaller local places. ATMOSPHERE was great and our waitress was so friendly.. Food was just ok. I really love Chile and for me the Chile was just ok.... No heat and not too much flavor.
The food here is epic.

The entire wait staff was sick. Coughing and wheezing into drinks and food. Food took an hour and I wanted to leave the whole time.
