Located on a plaza in Downtown Santa Fe, this restaurant serves New Mexican cuisine. It looks like Mexican food at first glance, but it is not authentic Mexican food. Close to TexMex. There are many dishes that I have never seen in Mexico, so it is worth going there. In particular, it was my first time seeing a dish called Sapaipilla, which is apparently eaten often in New Mexico. It's a main dish using bread, and it also has minced meat inside, making it very filling.
There is also pumpkin posole (there is also a soup dish called posole in Mexico), which is a thick soup with lots of pumpkin and nuts. I also ate a soup that was filling enough on its own. The tortilla was surprisingly thick, like bread, so it was quite filling. Overall, it's salty🧂 and there are many oily foods, so it's 3-4 stars. My stomach swells. The three types of nachos I ordered as an appetizer were quite delicious. Although it was cold, it was nice to eat outside so you could enjoy the view.

Stopped here for a visit after picking daughter and grandson up at airport for Christmas. Had our 7 pound Chihuahua in a carrier. The hostess told us we could not eat inside but could eat on patio. There were 2 sections of patio...one with heaters, one without. We opted for the heated section but was told we could only sit in the non heated section even though both areas were unoccupied. What a shame. We left and will never spend our money at this establishment.

Very good location. The service was quick and very matter of fact with a very direct approach. Food was good and if the wait staff were warm towards their customers then it be great restaurant.
Food was okay. Service was rough. Never had anyone check on us after entrees came. Needed water refills and a second round of cocktails. Eventually had to flag down a hostess to ask her to send the server over for our bill. Server never came over and the hostess wound up closing out our bill for us.

We ordered the blue corn piñón pancakes and the green chile burger. While the food was tasty and the portions were big, it was a bit overpriced.
The service was nice too, but it does not justify the expensive prices. I wanted to try this place for a long time, so we took advantage of a special ocassion but I would not come back, there are tons of great restaurants without such a big price tag. If you feel comfortable with the prices, you will love the food and the atmosphere.
Parking: Parking is tricky, we parked about two blocks away in a paid street parking.
