Waited longer for pay and for any assistance from anyone than for the food to come to us. It would’ve been an excellent review if it wasn’t for the service. I wouldn’t come back due to the service but the food was not the problem at all

Vegetarian and gluten free options. Dog friendly patio. The food is delicious and the margaritas are even better. Our server Julian A was so fast and efficient! Would absolutely return, if not for the food, then for the amazing service.

There was a small restaurant on the plaza that I ate at years ago that was incredible. Unfortunately, I don’t think this restaurant was the one. The food was average and price was high, probably due to location. I was disappointed that my order was incorrect.

It’s a great location directly at the Plaza in historical Santa Fe.
The food was very good Authentic Mexican cuisine, the home made Guacamole was fabulous!
It was a busy Sunday afternoon. The service was okay, but a bit hectic. In addition what I didn’t like was the way the story finished: Our server came with the card machine - and there you have the pre-calculated tip of 20, 25 or 30%. In addition: These tips were calculated on the final amount, so: Including tax! I don’t give tip on tax! He stood next to me waiting to press one of the pre-set buttons, but I wanted my time to calculate the appropriate tip myself - and you could tell: He didn’t like that. There was also no “thank you” at the end or so. And that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Service should always be friendly and with a smile, which he didn’t have for us.
So: Location & food: Really good! Service can be improved.

Have to go to the Plaza Cafe every time I’m in Santa Fe! Blue corn piñon nut pancakes are the best breakfast in SF!
Typical Southwest diner vibe and menu. It was quite busy on a late Friday afternoon, but service was fast and courteous.
My dish was a kind of large empanada with beef filling. Nothing special. With so short a menu, they could do better.

What a beautiful lunch experience with Julian on the lovely patio! He was so kind and helped me practice my Spanish. Our drinks never were less than half empty- even the cerveza! Two of the four of us had the chicken quesadilla- both said it was one of the best that they ever had! I had the Green Goddess salad with grilled steak- a perfect mix of fresh ingredients. The crispy fish tacos were excellent as well. Sorry, no pictures… we were hungry!

Unfortunately must of our food was inedible due to the spice level. We specifically asked if the dishes were spicy and they said no. Even one person who likes spice thought they were too spicy let alone not spicy like they said. We also weren’t a fan of the cheese. The sopaipilla was delicious as were the fries.
