While on vacation, we chose Joseph's for my husband's birthday dinner. Staff was very efficient and friendly; the food was outstanding. I had a basic but fresh pear/manchego salad to start with, then had the ratatouille starter for my main meal. I love Joseph's, the vibe, service, food. That said, my recent meal there was okay. My pear and manchego salad was perfunctory. Very basic. The surprise and not in a good way was the duck breast. It was flabby in its taste and feel. Not inspired. Not that all dishes have to be head blowing off but that duck was not what I've experienced at Joseph's previously. Undercooked and bland. Interesting intimate restaurant with an eclectic menu. The food was very tasty. Service was attentive. We were seated in the smaller room which made for a quieter, more intimate experience.
