This dinner exceeded expectations for a hotel property. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauces were compelling. Service is prompt and fun. Expected to come in for convenience and left with one of the best meals of our trip.

I don't understand the negative reviews, maybe they are old? I had a 5 day stay at La Posada (the hotel where Julia's is located) and I ate at least one meal a day at Julia's, truly enjoying each and every one of them. The filet mignon with truffle mashed was delish, cooked perfect (loved it so much I got it two nights in a row). The cucumber jalapeño marg was my fav drink. The grain bowl for breakfast was a great healthy start to my day. The vibes in the front bar are so fun, historic and great art on the walls. Every server I had was attentive and friendly, giving me great recommendations for where to explore. I'm picky, and I thought this place was great!

Our breakfast was delicious but pricey. Thank goodness for complimentary breakfast cards. Make sure and ask the front desk for one. I had the skillet hash and is was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and has a cozy fireplace that you can sit by while you eat. The very small glass of orange juice is $8.00 so look for your drink prices. Service was excellent.

My partner and I had a dinner reservation here and though it looked nice through the previous pictures posted by past customers, it was unpleasant to say the least. We were sat near the kitchen and it became noisy to the point where we had asked to be moved somewhere else. Upon viewing the menu, there were maybe 20 items total including appetizers and main dishes. Prices made our stomachs drop as we watched what other customers had chosen to eat. A $52 dollar plate in my mind would seem as if the portions were reasonable with the price, but they go off more presentation rather than size of the dish. Ultimately, we decided to have a drink at the bar a take off to a different restaurant down the road.

They ran out of the food we ordered but it took them a while to tell us. When they finally did we ordered something different but it also too over an hour to get and when we did it was cold. They people were nice but an hour dinner took over 2 hours and the food was cold.

Went Valentines day. When we got there, there was only a specific menu for the day. This was not advertised when booking. It was a good five course meal. There were two choices for main course for two people: a buffalo tomahawk steak or a salmon in puff pastry. We chose the salmon. Appetizer was great. Salad soup course was great. But when it came time for the main course the floor manager came out and informed us that they had run our of salmon so he would sell us the steak for the same price. Neither of us wanted steak but there really wasn't a choice. I discussed with the manager the best way to cook this buffalo. We agreed it should be medium rare which is fine because that would have been my choice. We also were able to order two side dishes and we choose asperges and scalloped potatoes. When the course came the buffalo was medium well, and thus dry and tough. The scalloped potatoes were cold. The asparagus was fine. The upshot is we complained to the floor manager and he comped us the cost of the main course and all of our drinks which was a fair resolution. What is had to understand is how a restaurant of this caliber could run out of one of the only two main courses available and how their kitchen could screw up on the order so much.

I had the worst dining experience ever at Julia’s. Service was poor, food was mediocre, at best, and many menu and bar items were not available. Expensive for what we got. Plus, their credit card system was not working, and they asked for our name, address, and card numbers in writing - NOT! We paid cash. Manager seemed indifferent to our concerns. Read reviews after our dinner. Poor. Had we known, would not have gone there. Problems are ongoing from many, many months back. Will not return. Will not recommend.

We arrived at 1 pm to a largely empty restaurant and given menus. 20 minutes later we left as we never saw our waiter again The place might be haunted. But there isn't a ghost of a chance that we will be back

The all day menu was spectacular! Poke nachos, loaded tots, steak tacos and trio were absolutely superb! Karel was an awesome server with great suggestions!

It was the book AMERICAN GHOST that brought us here and the name derives from the woman that lived here. Interesting history and great ambiance. I wish I could be equally complimentary of the food, but based on one exposure, I'd describe it as average food, overpriced. Just come for the ambiance.

It was a busy Friday night the day after thanksgiving but the staff did a fantastic job giving great service. One of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. Wings were fantastic and hummus was a great appetizer. Definitely going to come back

We went to Julia for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was boarder line horrible. I sent back my first entree that was inedible rubber fish. I opted for turkey and they brought a turkey leg that resembled a bad State Fair turkey leg. Overall the food was very overpriced and disappointing. The staff was wonderful and charming, but that can't make up for the horrible high priced food.
