Very happy I stopped by! Workers were very friendly and passionate about chocolate. I was able to try some of the sipping chocolates before deciding which I’d like. Definitely felt like a fancy treat. The truffles we bought were all amazing and tasted super rich. They had very interesting flavors as well like piñón truffle and horchata truffle.

The chocolate here is the real deal. I make a point of coming to Kakawa every time I visit Santa Fe. Juno was a very helpful and knowledgeable chocolate barista, and recommended we try the earl grey truffle (did not disappoint).

We ordered the Mayan and the Kakawa’s American hot chocolate, 3oz each. Totally satisfying and leaves you wanting just a liiiiittle bit more, which is exactly how I like to feel after a treat.

I'd read about Kakawa before coming to Santa Fe and we made a detour to visit. We are so glad we did! We were offered samples of hot chocolate before deciding. My granddaughter chose a mix of chili and regular. My sister chose ice cream. I wanted to try the chocolates and chose two from behind the counter--it was hard with so many choices.
