John was our server and made the experience so nice for us. Oysters were incredible. Will be back 10/10

Farm to table food that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, in Santa Fe? That was such a pleasant surprise.
The spectacularly flavorful food is housed off of The Plaza in a renovated home turned restaurant/provisions space.
We were escorted upstairs, with no reservation on a Saturday evening, possibly due to the local fiesta going on, but we were skeptical at first.
We got some amazing window seating with a fresh breeze flowing the aromas of the house around, and we were enticed by the unique menu offerings.
The focaccia bread we got as a starter was served with a side of creamy ricotta and completed the pillowy carbs perfectly.
These were washed down by a perfect balanced cocktail.
I was spoiled with some of the creamiest shrimp Mac and cheese that had the perfect hint of lemon to nod to the seafood floating on the risotto waved.
My partner excitedly grubbed on a lamb burger that was accented perfectly with the garnish it had, and yes I had a bite too!
The chocolate mousse dessert was sprinkled with sea salt and topped with some of the most tart and sweet raspberry jam I’ve had on a dessert, and it was fantastic.
Farm to table, elevated, but not overpriced and a thoroughly thought through menu will entice us to try this spot again when we’re in town.

My wife and I met the chef while hiking in the Santa Fe forest. Her food is as lovely as she is. We dined on the patio for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant flavors and wonderful presentation. A hidden gem!

So flexible! Walked in and was able to dine in. Food was very yum! They even gave us a salad in the house. So kind!

Atmosphere, incredible.
I appreciate that the food is trying to be unique, but some of it feels like it’s trying a little too hard . Definitely not what you’d get at a standard Café, but who wants standard anyway.

Also, as of 2025 it doesn’t have many gluten-free options

Had a great cortado and spice cake; wife’s loose-leaf brewed English Breakfast tea was delicious. Went there twice while visiting Santa Fe. Super friendly staff.

Sweet little bistro in Santa Fe with a little market inside and some tables outside in the back. Coffee is good too. Prices are a little steep but food is good and not the regular fare on the menu.

10/10. No notes.

My husband and I had brunch here this morning and everything was delicious. We ordered the breakfast sando, the potatoes, and the pancakes, which were quite possibly the best pancakes we have ever eaten.

“I am full, but I wish I could go back in time and eat everything again.” - my husband

We sat on the front porch, which we highly recommend on a lovely morning.

La Mama is all style with no substance.

We don’t drink so this review is only for the food. We got the Ajo Blanco soup, lamb burger, and duck confit.

The Ajo Blanco was very good though the almonds could have been blended a bit longer. 4/5

The duck confit was bad. The meat and skin were rubber, instead of tender/fall off the bone meat with crisp skin. The duck confit was served with a German potato salad which did not meld with the confit and cherry flavor. To top it off the potatoes were undercooked. 1/5

The lamb burger was fine, but was very small and was topped with a huge dollop of aioli, so much so that it had to be scraped off to enjoy the burger at all. The patty itself was also dry despite its feta filling. The potatoes that came with the burger were undercooked and not crisp at all. 2/5

The atmosphere was fine, but the cute red chairs were uncomfortable and a member of the staff was sitting with their friends chatting, which was fine…until they started talking about the worms and parasites one of their dogs had and then how many worms people have. Blech.

I want to preface this review by saying that the food/drinks and atmosphere are all 5/5. The dealbreaker for me here is the to-go cup lids leak like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Half my coffee is on my shirt or spilled in my car before I’m 1 minute away. Have brought it up and will change the review if they change the lids. Be warned, don’t wear a white shirt if you’re ordering to-go

I would like to go back and give La Mama another try, but I was a little disappointed my first time there. Lovely and cute place with seating outside and inside. They had just run out of the dish I wanted (12:30pm) which was my first disappointment but I settled on something else. I had the veggie sandwich on breadshop’s sourdough. The server, who was friendly dropped part of the sandwiches content on the floor. She said that it just fell out but did make to replace what had fallen - which seemed to be about a third of the sandwich contents. I would give the service a 5 if it had not been for this. The food - my 3rd disappointment - the bread was stale or old. I love bread shop sourdough- but this was not so good. The inside vegetables were yummy however as was the aioli used. The Chai latte was delicious if but a bit sweet.

La Mama is an absolute Santa Fe gem.
The new Executive Chef Tati is the Santa Fe food whisperer. Her food is amazing, combining innovative flavors, textures, and presentations.
The shrimp risotto and lamb burgers are worth the trip. Homemade foccaccia with ricotta is fresh daily, as are the salads and desserts.
The wine list is global, with unique varieties that will suprise you. The staff is inviting and charming.
We came multiple times to try everything. We loved it. Great energy and positive vibes at La Mama.
Run, don't walk to this great restaurant.
