Palace Prime is one of my most favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. I love the ambience as well as the food and staff. The vibe is genuinely friendly, fun, and accommodating. It's very classy without a whiff of pretension. I always feel at home. Thank you!

First, I had mistakenly made a reservation for 2 diners, when our party was actually 3, and this was on a very busy festival Friday night. The host was amazing and kind, and found us a table...frankly an excellent table. So kudos for kindness. The restaurant is small but stylish, with warm vibes. The menu seemed limited at first, but the were nice choices, and everyone in our party found something enticing. Once the food began arriving, it became clear that the chef curated the menu carefully so that each dish was exceedingly well prepared. I had a pear salad that was nothing short of divine, with poached pear, whipped ricotta, arugula, candied walnuts, and balsamic...quite literally the most wonderful salad of my life. I complimented to the staff, and they remarked that it was a new dish, appropriately 3 weeks on the menu. We shared some fresh Washington state mussels, seared scallops with chorizo, and garlic shrimp on grits. The entrees included expertly cooked duck confit with mole and Steak au Poive with perfectly crisped yucca fries. I dare say however that the absolute star of the show were the side dishes (“complements” per the menu) of broccolini with Calabrian chile and Parmesan. Also crispy Brussels sprouts with fish sauce, cilantro, and cashews...just spectacular! Be advised that Palace is pricey. That said, even at well over $100 per person, we had no qualms about our meal. Excellent, excellent, excellent! Service was pleasant and efficient; friendly and informal but not casual by any means. We really enjoyed our experience and highly recommend.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the staff could not have made us feel more special. The customer service is top notch from the moment you walk in the door, and the atmosphere is very open and welcoming. We enjoyed a great cocktail menu, and all of the food was absolutely incredible. The small plates allowed us to try a lot of really unique options. I’m still thinking about that goat cheese and date dessert!

Honestly the biggest disappointment in Santa Fe. Our server was very friendly but then disappeared. We were already finished with our “smalls” appetizers before she came back to take our order for our entrees and we had to ask someone to get her for us. The tamal was unique and good, but the Caesar salad was just ok. When we finally got our entrees the snapper was not very flavorful and seemed slightly undercooked. The winter squash medallions were very good. The filet was significantly undercooked and was sent back. When we finally got the new filet it was much smaller than the first. The flavor was nothing to boast about. The yucca fries were simply a novelty. No flavor and very bland. Then we had to have someone get our server again to get our check.

Over the past two weeks, we've had dinner at the Palace four times, which included hosting business colleagues and other times with family and friends. The food has been very good and the service has been exceptional. The staff are professionals and attentive. It's a great place to dine.

We arrived at 6:15 and ordered drinks and dinner by 6:30. Dinner was finally served at 8:05.

Great experience. Matt, our server, was perfect and his knowledge of drinks and food made our decisions very easy. Everything was expertly prepared. Highly recommend for an elevated meal.

The Palace is a reliable and convenient choice for delicious food in a very pleasant atmosphere. The main dining room is not typical "Santa Fe," but it does suggest a very updated old-time saloon. Tables in the bar area are more "lively," with the main dining room being more quiet and elegant. It's definitely on our rotation of places to dine out.

Nice enough waitress, but service overall pretty awful. Long wait for menus, looong wait for drinks, food came out piecemeal. Food was mediocre to bad. Crossing this one off my go to list.

Might be the best cocktail program in town. Definitely the best green chili cheeseburger I've had.

It's not like I didn't expect a good meal, since a good friend with excellent taste recommended this restaurant, but I was blown away by the quality of everything from start to finish. The Negroni blanco, the huitlacoche tamal, the duck confit and the sticky date cake were the best versions of those foods I think I've ever had. Makes me wish I lived here!
