From start to finish a fantastic way to celebrate my birthday. As a surprise my husband booked this restaurant, neither of us having visited this place before. From my funny initial interaction to inquire if there was dress code, to our final dish, this restaurant went above and beyond to provide an exuberant experience. It was a chilly day requiring the use of coats, and immediately upon arrival they offered a place for them to be deposited while we were seated. The restaurant was cozy, with the perfect mood lighting for a romantic evening. Our waiter was professional, experienced, and a great wealth of knowledge regarding the dishes and pairings. To start our appetizer we chose for the vegetarian tasting plate, the gouda polenta being perfectly crispy, the bisque exquisitely flavorful, my favorite however was the goat cheese salad and polenta. For entrees, I chose the the beef tenderloin, my partner opting for the lamb rack. To say I was impressed was an understatement. The beef was tender, buttery, and cooked to perfection, the accompanying sauce, potato tartine, mushroom and tomato duxelle created a symphony in my mouth. The lamb was cooked to the perfect temperature, avoidant of gaminess and risotto to die for. The plate finished with a fantastic surprise of lava cake and the perfect cinnamon gelato. If you have been wanting to try this restaurant but been afraid, please go, it is well worth your visit.

By far the best restaurant that we had the pleasure of trying in Santa Fe. Each dish blew us away. The plating was gorgeous and the flavors hit deep. We loved this meal so much. The service was also stellar. Thanks for the amazing Easter dinner experience!

Dinner was good. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. Quiet and good for conversation. Good wine list. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium rare, and had good flavor. Brussel sprouts were great. My wife enjoyed her cocktail. Not quite to the level of compound or geronimo but I would return to Restaurant Martin.

Wonderful place ... go Be aware our waiter was not a good listener at dessert time ... see my tip for this place. I'm not a fan of deconstructed dessert presentations . (Carrot cake could look like a cake and I've never seen an opera 'cake' with a big red thing on it (delish) with a white lump upon it (delish but name it something else) My partners for the eve loved the pork belly app and the squash soup! Beet salad ? (More dressing ... but adequate and pretty). The chicken and lamb was very very delish ... but then dessert. The opera cake inspired dessert was a hit, lesser so Apple thing (another deconstructed dessert form) I tried ... really... to just get choco ice cream ... it was no to be. As I design my meal from dessert back to app, this was a drag. I'd go again in a heartbeat but will be careful in ordering in case the waiter misunderstands. GO!

Long wait even with a res. Over an hour for our entrees. Portion size was poor.I was told by the server that the most expensive item (lamb) would be 10 oz bone in / 8 oz of meat. I clearly was given 3-4 oz. Food quality was poor. Meat was tough and bland. The tenderloin was served with potatoes that were greasy and inedible, accompanied by some gelatinous dripping that was awful. Everything was covered in a sweet sauce of some sort. (Who puts a sweet sauce on a tenderloin?)Bisque was really the only decent thing and despite everything else, was fantastic. But for 200 bucks either portion size or quality should be great. This struck out on both.

Visiting in the area and did not realize it was 'restaurant week'... Actually still not sure what that means, but when we pointed out several items that were wrong with our order, that was the excuse. Rather than take our plates and correct the order. Or just bring us the correct items. They instead chose to make us feel like we were being difficult... I really just wanted what I ordered. Zero offer to correct. Zero offer to provide any compensation. Actually not even an apology. I'm kind of confounded about the reviews for this restaurant... Certainly not our experience.

This is where I live now. The whole experience was great. The food is excellent, the staff were wonderful. The hostess was very pleasant and made us welcome. I'm impressed by the originality of the menu. When we sell our house and move here you can expect to see us anytime you come in.

I spent 6 days/nights in Santa Fe & had a lot of good food. This was my hands-down favorite. Elegant atmosphere, truly excellent food (including dessert), exceptional waitstaff (August), & good value. 10-year James Beard nominee—it shows!

Everything about our dining experience was wonderful. August, our server, was so attentive and professional. The noise level was almost non existent. We could all hear our conversation without being distracted by loud diners. And the food! Amazing! Innovative, fresh and cooked to perfection. We can't wait to go back.

The service (hostess, bussing and waiter staff) and wine options were amazing. The restaurant is inside a house so it's noisy and you can hear the next table conversation that is less than 6 inches away on more than one side. The parking lot is bad and likely doesn't meet city regulations. One getting to the restaurant a sign mentioned other locations for parking. It would have been good to know that information before getting there. The food is okay but the sauces are not. For the portion size the value is not good.
