Love this place! We were tourists on a budget. Our first meal in Santa Fe was there. Chile and carnitas bowl with warm corn tortillas, $9. My husband had something for $12 that he really liked. Later in the week, $6 pupusas ... perfect texture and fillings. They had cheese, frijoles & cheese, and pork, frijoles and cheese. Very nice folks! Modest setting. Order at counter, several tables in the next room, and several tables outdoors. Very careful with our order, asked questions, and brought food to us. Would very highly recommend!

Santa Fe Bees is a busy, neighborhood, counter service restaurant near downtown Santa Fe. The place was really, pardon the pun, buzzing. We took a menu out to a table on the enclosed porch, quiet (68 dB) and insulated from the traffic noise. In spite of the rush, our orders were quickly taken and we had our Mexican Coke, Chocolate Shake and a complimentary basket of chips and salsa immediately. We special ordered a Fish Taco Plate to share with four (not three) tacos, mahi mahi, mango salsa, black beans, coleslaw, tomatoes and avocado with a zesty, house recipe tartar sauce. Each taco came with two corn tortillas. It was easy to make 8 tacos out of the 4 on the plate. The Taco Salad (also shared) came in something we had never seen before, deep fried cheese shaped into a bowl. The Taco Salad was a lettuce base with pico de gallo, sour cream, cucumber, tomatoes, avocados, and jack and cheddar cheese strips with housemade dressing, in the heaping cheese bowl. The plates were delivered to the table by friendly staff who stopped to chat even in the noon rush. Good local lunch place

Awesome place for authentic New Mexican food at a reasonable price. They greeted us at the door with a warm smile, gave us local dish recommendations and refilled our chips multiple times. The blue flautas and green chile stew were delicious! Highly recommended!

Highly recommended. 5 stars. Incredible! Fresh New Mexican cuisine in a casual and comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff offered suggestions on what to try. I got the Blue Flautas with Red & Green chile (X-mas) with pinto beans, rice, calabacitas, sour cream and guacamole. Beyond amazing! I practically licked my plate. My wife got the Frito Pie and loved it. She was also impressed by how fresh everything tasted. They gave us chips and salsa as we were waiting for our meals and both the red & green salsa were some of the best we've ever had.
Do not hesitate. This restaurant is a Santa Fe gem!

I have tried most of the menu and all has been great. Most recently the house green chili burger, it had a medium warm green chili, great flavor but not overly hot, perfect 😋

This place is amazing. I ordered green chili stew with squash (vegetarian) and was amazed at how flavorful it was. I’m sometimes disappointed in vegetarian options but this was fantastic, truly memorable. The staff was super friendly too. Overall it was a great experience.
