Everything was wonderful service food was outstanding and a good value for the quality of a meal that we got our server was attentive yet not hovering while impairing recommendations were spot on! Highly recommend.
Like most restaurants in Santa Fe, Santa Cafe prices are climbing...reaching a point where the price is exceeding value. The meals are competently prepared and the ingredients appear to be freshly sourced. The wine list is very nice but again climbing in price. An elegant dining experience with extremely professional and friendly servers. It has always been one of my top "go to" places in town.
SantaCafe is one of the best restaurants in Santa Fe. The service is outstanding and the food is very good to outstanding as well. This restaurant has steadily improved over the years.
We enjoyed a quiet lunch at an indoor table. The service was very good. We were given plenty of attention but never interrupted unnecessarily. I had the ricotta pumpkin ravioli special, which was exquisite! My friend had Santa Cafe's burger, which she said was excellent.
I have had better meals at Santacafe. The mushroom soup & pork dumplings were excellent & the focaccia bread was good, although there was not a lot of it. Two of our party were gluten intolerant & that was a bit of a challenge. Some of the main items seemed to still be leaning toward spring/summer, although there was not evenings have turned much cooler. Drinks were well made. Victor was a very able server & very accommodating when a Chardonnay was ordered by mistake. . The bolognese was a tad dry. The pork chop was tough & was served lukewarm. The opera cake was tasty, also a tad dry. The ambiance, as always, was lovely. All in all, a pricey meal for fairly average food.
Lovely experience. We had noted that it was for a birthday, and were greeted with birthday wishes and a complementary champagne, which set the tone. The server was lovely and there when needed, the food wonderful, and the atmosphere was intimate. I have also been there for dinner in their outdoor garden which while not as private is a wonderful environment.
Our server was not very attentive. It may have been that none of the 3 of us were drinking (I feel that is a thing with restaurants-but I could be wrong). I have to say that our bus boy Victor was EXCELLENT and should be promoted to a server. He was polite and funny, truly enjoyed him.
From the time we were seated next to a beautiful outdoor fountain until we paid the bill, lunch at the Santa Cafe was amazing. Jenna, our server was wonderful. Her descriptions of the various food offerings were spot on. My dining companion and I both had Maggie's special pasta. And special it was! The pasta was delicate ravioli filled with amazing ricotta cheese in a roasted garlic and sage sauce. Absolutely amazing!! We finished lunch with a Tuscan olive oil cake that was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to my next dining experience.
Staff (Asher) was awesome. The pappardello excellent as the pasta is made in house and rivals any Italian restaurant. The rain made outdoors interesting BUT they have many tables covered along the perimiter of the lovely open square. Thus there is no problem, plus there is a large indoor area as well. Be sure to check out the well in the bar area. I have enjoyed Santacafe with many guests over the last 35 years.
We usually visit this restaurant one to two times a year when we visit Santa Fe. This was by far the most disappointing meal we have had there. The menu choices have decreased from recent years and are less impressive. Our dessert choice which was sticky toffee cake was extremely dry and a poor imitation of the real thing. This was probably our last visit there with all the very good eating choices that Santa Fe has to offer.

Santacafe is just one of the best in town— ambience, food, service, and all round fabulous experience. Mani is a splendid server. The music is a little loud for those of us a little older but otherwise it is a superb and wonderful time every time we go.
Our server, Rachel, was outstanding and her recommendations were right on. Food was outstanding.
The whole evening was delightful and delicious!! Our server was attentive, courteous and not over-bearing. Food was absolutely spot-on and full of unique flavor combinations. Couldn't ask for more!
On our last visit to Santa Fe we came to Santacafe twice. So we returned again this visit. It's a lovely space, great patio, sharp servers, wonderful food and a terrific spot to begin or end your trip on a high note. Highly recommend.
An outstanding restaurant in every way. The wait staff led by Rachel made us feel welcome and provided both exceptional and professional service. The food was exceptional. We began with a Caesar Salad and an Apple and Bleu Cheese Salad. We followed with Bolognese and the Sumac Crusted Rack of Lamb. We had eaten in the garden in the past but opted for dining inside. It was truly an exceptional evening.
