We enjoyed our outdoor lunch this week. The celery soup was delicious. The dumplings and spring rolls were perfection. Dessert today was the star..,.carrot cake... order it! Great food, excellent service in a beautiful setting,

Food was excellent, great service, nice atmosphere. Nice details like blue cheese stuffed olives at the bar.

Santacafe did a wonderful job creating a lovely, small, unique 50th birthday. Mocktails for the table and a lovely slice of lemon cake. They made it a terrific celebration.

Santacafe was a find for us as tourists to Santa Fe. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Denise who, on an especially busy night, went out of her way to ensure that our reservation request to sit at a quiet table was honored. And then the food was truly delicious. We both ordered the seared salmon with orzo and spinach. It was additionally flavored with an out of this world tomato jam. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. All and all a lovely evening out.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night! Like many two person tables in Santa Fe, it seemed a bit overly crowded seating wise (since it used to be a house). While on the more expensive side, the food was great and our waiter was attentive. We even got to try a sampling of a dessert wine! We will definitely be back when we have friends/family in town.

What a disappointment . We really wanted to love the SantaCafe experience. Here's how the evening went down. We had an early reservation... 5:30pm. We advised the staff when we arrived that we were seeing a play that night, and we needed to out of the restaurant by 7pm. We actually arrived at 5:15 and were seated immediately , so... 1 hour and 45 mins should be plenty of time for dinner before the play, right? Wrong. We ordered the pork dumplings to share as an appetizer. They were good, and they arrived promptly after ordering. For out second plate, we all had the Caesar Salad with Horseradish | Parmesan | Croutons. NOT GOOD. At the same time, everyone said "this has no flavor". The dressing was watery, and there was NO hint of horseradish... NO hint of parmesan, and NO hint of any flavor whatsoever. No one ever came by to check how everything was, so I had to flag down a different waiter to ask for salt, and some parmesan cheese. Even that barely added any flavor, except for the taste of lettuce and salt. The plates were eventually cleared.... and then..... nothing. No one came by to check on us... no sign of our waiter anywhere. Fast forward... it is now 6:50. I had to get up to find our waiter, and I found him chatting with a "friend"/patron at the bar. I reminded him we had to leave in 10 mins, and he told me "they should be plating your food now". I went back to the table. 5 mins later he brought a tiny, scalding hot taste of porcini mushroom soup to "hold us over" before the entrees arrived. It was SO hot, we could put it to our lips. A minute later, the entrees arrived. We had Seared Salmon, Seared Chicken Thighs and Steak Frites. It was now 6:58, and upon placing our entrees on the table, we asked for the bill and "to go" containers. We each took a bite while waiting for the "to go" containers... and everything was bland. The Salmon was dry and overcooked, The chicken needed seasoning, and the frites also needed salt or SOME type of seasoning.. Anyhow... we scraped all the entrees into "to go" containers, paid the bill... and rushed out of the restaurant. We gave them advance notice on timing, and 1 hour and 45 mins later at the table, was still not enough time to eat our dinner. Disappointing to say the least. I'm giving this review 2 stars instead of 1 because they DID comp our Caesar Salads after it took over an hour for our entrees to arrive. I will NOT be returning.

Christopher was an excellent server, very accommodating. This restaurant can modify dishes for allergies and has a gluten free menu too which my wife enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.

The service was amazing, our server was so attentive and kept checking in on us. The food was absolutely delicious and we had a great time. They're currently doing some renovations in the patio area and I can't wait to go back to experience again in the warmer weather.

I chose SantaCafe for a sweet birthday celebration dinner with a dear friend who is moving from Santa Fe. It needed to be quiet enough to open gifts, a Santa Fe ambience for a memory to last a lifetime, and caring service. SantaCafe more than exceeded these expectations. The food was impeccable as always (there is no better Mushroom soup, anywhere). The service was attentive without being intrusive, A perfect memory for her to carry to her next home. Thank you, SantaCafe.

Overall great experience. We sat at the bar, the bartender was lovely and helpful. We ordered the goat cheese, walnut salad and mushroom soup as apps, both were excellent. For mains we ordered the steak and the pasta, also both great. Would recommend.

Usually enjoy the food here. Less so this time. Steak frites was a massive plate of french fries with the meat on the edge. Fries were covered in a sauce, which was tasty, but made the fries soggy very quickly. Meat was very good, but the fries were so visually and physically overwhelming, I lost interest. Couldn't even make a dent. Also: tipflation. It's getting out of control! Automatic $4 kitchen appreciation charge added to bill. Why? I don't know what's going on back there. Could be a hairnet-free, food-dropping, scratch-fest going on back there for all I know. I also assume they are compensated quite differently than the serving staff (which typically get nowhere near a living wage). Price the menu items appropriately so that you can pay your kitchen staff what they deserve. That's not my job. Yes, the menu states that they will remove the charge if asked. They probably assume you won't make a fuss in front of your friends/guests. Instead of that going through that drama, I just subtracted $4 from what I would have tipped.

We love Santacafe, but I do not like having to go through two verifications to give my response to your survey! Please know that we'll return to your restaurant but NOT to your surveys!!!

The menu has barely changed in a long time. Wines are always good but the service this time was indifferent, presentation not up to par compared to previous visits. If you're new to SC by all means check it out. But our enthusiasm has waned.
