I don't have the words to describe the experience we had tonight. I thought we were simply going to dinner at a great, renowned restaurant. Instead, I experienced something truly extraordinary, a culinary journey I know I'll never forget. The flavors, the textures, the balance... everything was absolute perfection. It genuinely felt like tasting Ratatouille's ratatouille. Be bold, trust the experience, and let yourself be guided, especially when it comes to choosing the soup.
We had an exceptional dining experience. The food was delicious, all of the staff went out of their way to accommodate every need and the owner/chef made the rounds to speak to the patrons. Such a great night!
What a satisfying evening we spent at Sazon. The service was prompt, fluid, and friendly. Starting with an amuse bouche of an array of housemade moles was a sign of beautiful and deeply saturated flavors to come. Everything was a highlight, from the signature soup, and special fried zucchini blossoms, to the daily fish and dessert. It was an honor to have the head chef stop by our table and share his perspective. We appreciated the advice from our server and would love to treat ourselves again.
What an outstanding restaurant! From the warm greeting, to the knowledge and genuine service, to the delicious food, Sazon is a true Santa Fe gem. The moles were a highlight as was the huitlachoche. Many thanks to Alycia, Chef Olea and team for a wonderful evening.
The food and the service were top notch! We were blown away by the incredible flavors of the mole. The sopa was amazing with every bite. And Gabrielle provided flawless service. We talked about the experience all night and the next day!
This is a very chef-driven restaurant specializing in high Mexican cuisine as opposed to New Mexican. Lots of emphasis on mole's , though plenty of other options too. Every dish was delicious and unique Our service was excellent, ambiance elegant yet cozy. We went there to celebrate a birthday and they couldn't have been more thoughtful. It's a very special place.
I used to love Sazon. I come to Santa Fe every year and it is one of my favorite restaurants. However, this time around I was a bit disappointed on the food. It is still good but the flavors were not as intense and as prominent as they used to. Service is still exceptional and everyone is incredibly nice and professional. But the food was lacking. I don't mind paying for good food but I felt underwhelmed this time.
What a terrific experience. Gabriel was a professional and attentive server. The food was top notch and the wine list is extensive particularly from Spain and Mexico. We had the 2016 Prado Enea but they had Mogador, Martinet, Pintia etc! Also the most extensive Mexican wine list I have seen in a restaurant. Chef Fernando made his rounds to insure everyone was having a great experience. This was easily one of the top three dinner experiences I've had.
An incredible experience of flavors! Chef Olea is a gem! Service was impeccable. Atmosphere surrounds with an amazing gallery of art pieces. Would highly recommend this dining experience. Especially loved the moles, sopa de amor and octopus!
Hands down a special and outstanding dining experience unparalleled in any city. Creative cuisine with new discoveries of taste and flavor. Friendly professional culture and service, no attitude, high level service . Chef on site and one can see where the culture comes from! We would would travel back just to dine there. The restaurant is also charming and artful with great calm ambience. The food comes in a relaxing but steady pace. Every detail seems to have been considered about how to present the chef's creations. One simply cannot ask for more. We dine all over the world and are very critical- this is a not to miss . Congratulations to the chef and his team in and out of the kitchen.

Having lived in Santa Fe for years, we have been to all its top restaurants. Sazon is the best of the best. From its unique menu servings, to the professional and welcoming staff, to its cozy and artful interior - It is like taking a mini vacation, while dining on excellent appetizers, entrees and desserts. Each time we leave, we remark on how incredible an experience we just had, and can't wait to return. Sazon - keep on doing what you do, because you do it best!
We made the trip to Santa Fe as an anniversary get away and solely to eat at this restaurant and to meet Chef Olea.... It was fantastic and the service impeccable (Thank you Z!).. The food, presentation and tastes are equisite. Cocktails and margs are outstanding. I have only given out two perfect ratings in 20+ years and this is one of them.
Amazing food, wine and ambience. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. Best meal in Santa Fe. Well done, Chef Fernando!!
First dinner during our stay in Santa Fe and it was fantastic ... creative menu with incredible flavors ... trust your server to steer you towards the must have options -- Chef Olea doesn't miss.
Fortunate and thrilled to finally eat at Sazon, Chef Fernando Olea's gorgeous restaurant in Santa Fe. Chef Olea received a James Beard Award for best chef in the Southwest a few years ago, and it was certainly well-deserved. This was simply one of the finest restaurants we've ever eaten in: creative menu, well-trained staff (especially Alycia), a welcoming presence, sensational wall art, and an unpretentious vibe that permeated everything. Oh, and did I mention that the food is otherworldly spectacular?
