Family night out to celebrate New Year's Eve. The prix fixe meal was outstanding as was the service.
Perhaps it's best not to judge Terra by the quality of the Saturday lunch. Ive been to dinner there three times and it was always excellent. I think of it as a special meal when I go there. This lunch was not one of those.
Our dinner at Terra exceeded our expectations. We had the special 32 oz porterhouse (for 2). It was spectacular. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The dining room has great acoustics. We could carry on a conversation easily, and the conversations from other tables were muted enough by the room, that we could not hear them. This may be my new favorite restaurant. As a bonus, the price point is under what I would expect from a resort hotel restaurant in the Santa Fe area.
The poblano pepper is quite bland (as were the green chile Mac & cheese) which is a bit surprising given the name of the food and the region. Service was okay for a mid-priced restaurant but they do charge as if it's a luxury restaurant. Skip the chocolate cake at the end (it's fairly pointless). Note that I did eat vegetarian options for the whole meal so it's possible the meat food is more their speciality. But when in doubt, just add salt & pepper to the savory items and it'll be fine.
The most gorgeous setting around!....We experienced the most beautiful sunset before our excellent dinner...prices seem reasonable for the overall experience...
We've been coming to this property and restaurant for many years, but this was the first time in recent history. It is still very much the same- great ambiance and relaxing feeling. But the food was a bit disappointing as was the waitstaff—the scallops were not up to snuff since they were overcooked- but the steak frites was reasonable. Staff in both the bar exhibited disinterest— unlike our previous stays, which was disappointing. We will go back, but with hope!
As a guest of the hotel during our visit we were still told there would be a 45 minute wait for a table since we did not have a reservation despite half the tables being empty however we did book a reservation for five minutes later on Open Table and immediately sat. She even told us “there are plenty to choose from.” Server was very kind but never came back after appetizer was delivered and consumed so we left without ordering. It appears short staffed. Mind boggling experience after being a regular for more than a decade.
The food was fabulous, setting is beautiful, and staff was superb. We will definitely be back.
Nice atmosphere. Waiter had nothing good to say about the food. Portions are lacking. Timing way off; the waiter was missing most of the time, and they weren't even busy. The drinks took longer than the food. Drinks were okay at best, and not attentively replenished. Dirty dishes and cutlery lingured at the table throughout the entirety of the meal. Seating was uncomfortable, short table, lowback chairs.

Something has happened to this restaurant. The food is subpar and borders on terrible. The service is really slow. The restaurant was not busy and our food did not arrive for at least 30 minutes. The waiter spilled water all over the table and never came back to clean it up. To top it off, the prices were WAY over the top. Huevos Rancheros was $29, which is absolutely ridiculous. When arriving, no one greeted us and we stood around waiting to be seated. When we left, there was no valet to retrieve our car and we had to go back in to find someone to help us. We won't be returning anytime soon.

The corn chowder was absolutely fabulous. The Caesar salad also fabulous. The lamb shank with polenta and roasted vegetables was delicious. Wine service was nice and our waitress Kathy was very pleasant.
First, our waiter, Caesar, was extraordinary. He was personable, well-informed, amd extremely likeable. It's rare to find someone who truly excels at what they do, regardless of the job, but Caesar is one of those rare birds. Second, the meal was good and maybe even borderline extraordinary. The soups were, indeed, awesome, and the dessert scrumptious. My only issue was that my prime rib was less than great and actually quite ordinary. To make it worse, it came out medium rather than medium rare. I expected more and it just didn't deliver. I have a single complaint, that being that I was charged a $10 NA Beverage Fee for a $10 bottle of Perrier. To me, that violates the spirit of the NA Beverage Fee. All that aside, the venue is beautiful, and I would definitely return.
The outdoor area was beautiful other than that our food was not good at all, my husband & our friends had to send their steaks back because they weren't cooked properly, I ordered paella which turned out to be nothing more than dried out fried rice, we thought we would end our Santa Fe vacation with a delicious meal at the four seasons and we were very disappointed, we should have stayed in Santa Fe and ate dinner where we had wonderful meals the entire time we were there. Would not recommend going to the four seasons at all.
We were there for a birthday celebration and they treated us to a wonderful celebration! The food was incredible, the wine selection is unique and interesting. We really enjoyed our meal and the service is the best in the world!
