Terracotta Wine Bistto is my favorite upscale restaurant in Santa Fe and my choice for special occasions. The chef Jose Rodriguez is creative and the variety of selections is nice. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, good for conversation.

Since new management took over, the wine list has gone from 50 pages to two, which is sad. And apparently all of the previous staff was canned and the new staff is sparse, very slow and cannot communicate. Not going back. (we were regular diners for many years under previous management).

Our group of 6 dined in the bar area and had a wonderful time. Our waiter was a little distracted by a rather full dining room that had not been anticipated, so service is typically a little speedier. Still, no problem for us as we were enjoying our evening with friends. On the food side, we shared 3 excellent appetizers and then each had a main course. The ravioli dish was especially good offering multiple flavors in one mouthful. A special touch was the arrival of the chef to enquire as to our evening. He was charming and very personable. We will definitely return.

We went to TerraCotta a couple of years ago. We got back from Taos late and it was one of the few places open on a Sunday night. We loved it so decided to go back this trip. So happy we did. We had a perfect night to dine outside. Our server was really nice, the food was beautiful and full of flavor. Highly recommend.
The new ownership has really stepped it up. I was disappointed in the restaurant and hadn't gone for a while until I heard of a change in ownership. New menu, less clutter, creative dishes, great presentation. I'm putting Terra Cotta back in the rotation

Chef/owner Jose is masterful and everything we ate from the squash blossoms to the scallop and fabulous chocolate dessert were superb. The decor is colorful and cozy.
