The Belltower Bar has a decent menu for small snacks and tasty margaritas, offering views of Santa Fe’s historic plaza below. The vantage of flat roofs and AC units isn’t quite as dazzling as we’d hoped, but the space is relaxing, and La Fonda itself has an interesting lobby and design work throughout, such as the lovely elevator doors.
At our first time in Santa Fe, my wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and wanted a sunset view with drinks. The Bell Tower Bar was highly recommended, so we went there at the last minute. It was a lovely setting, great drinks and appetizers, and amazing sunset view. Exactly what we wanted and needed. The view is pretty cool as it is on a roof top. The food game is weak, especially for Santa Fe. Beers were served in a pint glass 2/3 full. Might go back, and if you’re a tourist you may like it. Truth is, it’s not even close to in the top tier in the City Different. I’ll likely spend my time and sheckels elsewhere next time.
