The location is great, right on the plaza. The food was good, although a bit unexciting. The interior is spacious and a tad generic. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good option for families with diverse palates.

Too bad there is not a zero star because that's all they deserve. My daughter and I walked into the restaurant yesterday and were seated quickly however, we waited about 20 minutes and not one person came to take our order or offer drinks. I waved down a waitress and told her no one has come over to our table and she said she would check but we waited for another 5-10 minutes and still no one came by. The hostess was talking to the other servers and pointing over at our table but still no one bothered to come over. After all this we just decided to walk out and when we passed the waiters and hostess they didn't even bother to ask us why we were leaving or to even apologize. I guess they didn't care about losing our business. Oh well we landed up having a great lunch at Del Charro where they were very happy to serve us.

My blonde wife found a black hair in her chicken tortilla soup. We quietly and discretely showed it to the manager who said he needed to make sure that his kitchen staff were all wearing their hair nets! He never apologized or offered to at least take the soup off of our check! It’s not about the money, it’s all about customer service! Unbelievable…

This is definitely a 5 star place on food, atmosphere, and most definitely the service.I'm from Oklahoma, but here in Santa Fe for 2 days. My receptionist at my hotel recommended Thunderbird to me, I'm amazed and will definitely be stopping here if I'm ever in town again. I sat at the bar. Rick happened to be my server and bartender. He was absolutely amazing, so welcoming and friendly. Made my drinks perfectly. I was hungry, and everything sounded good, so I asked him what he recommended. And let me tell you, he didn't disappoint whatsoever. I ended up ordering the scallop linguine like he had recommended. My food was out in a good time, and the scallops were absolutely perfect. The portion was good size, as well. Just enough leftover for a good midnight snack. Definitely ask for Rick as your bartender. He deserves a 5 star rating.

This restaurant is upstairs. It's right on the Plaza with a tiny balcony. We were greeted and seated quickly. Super friendly, personable service from numerous staff. I ordered soup and salad. My companion ordered a burger. I really liked my salad. I think their blue cheese dressing is very good. The soup did not appear to be right in any regards to its description. Looking back, I should have asked if I received the right soup. My companion said his burger seemed pre-made and was not cooked to his order. He wanted a medium rare burger and got a well done burger. He was not satisfied with that at all. This place is a bit of a throw back. It has a big bar with tvs. They offer a good beer selection. Even though it's a tad dated it's OK. I would go back. Parking will be tricky.
Stopped in for dinner and had the “Maytag” burger with spinach and onions but had them add green chilies on top. That combined with the onion rings was very tasty. The Irish coffees with Jameson were nicely mixed; no complaints at all about dinner.

Walked in and my first impression was not good. There was a server at the host stand and he didn’t even bother to say hi or acknowledge us in any way. Yeah, he’s not the host but he could have said hi and told us someone will be with us shortly. Instead he kept his head down then walked away. Host was very friendly and that was a plus. We ordered the dip trio, 2 mixed drinks, and a couple of burgers. The queso was more like processed cheese soup and the salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. The drinks tasted like plastic lime juice and no simple syrup(agave listed on the menu) which wasn’t very pleasing on the taste buds. One burger was dry, on the other the bun was falling apart on the first bite. Service was not very friendly and didn’t come by but a couple of times. I know places can have an off day but for all aspects to be off at the same time? No bueno. Might try again and order something else but being a local, might have to go elsewhere as we have so many great places to choose from. I will say we enjoyed the artwork and architecture of the restaurant but really you can go to a dive and get an excellent meal with excellent service.

I went in to check this place out right on the plaza Santa Fe, quick stop got sat ordered a drink got fish taco plate (3 Mahi Mahi) w/ rice + beans added jalapeno on top.Pictures talk for themself, I'd give it 5 stars... Plan to try something there again likely.
