We really enjoy this place. We’ve had takeout multiple times and sat down once. We recommend the combo boxes. Relaxed atmosphere and good service. More people should eat here! Surprisingly quiet. Sake/wine/beer. Looking forward to coming more.
One note: salad was doused in sauce. Wonderful sauce but too much!

Tokyo Cafe is a somewhat unheralded gem of the Santa Fe restaurant scene. The service is prompt and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. It's one of our weekly go to's. We appreciate the convenience of the drive through window for our frequent take out orders, but if you choose to dine in , you will find yourself in a very pleasant atmosphere that is at once cozy and slightly whimsical... really cool spot. We love Tokyo Cafe!

This place has been here for years (a good sign), we ate with a group of eight last night, and we were all pleased. My wife and I split the Triple Delight Sashimi, photo uploaded: you can see the rather large pieces of Tuna, Salmon, and Yellowtail, plus a bowl Of White Rice and nice Miso soup. All very good Sashimi, the Yellowtail was outstanding. We also split the Dynamite Roll, which was very nice. In the future, we will go for more Sashimi. The triple delight is $27.99, and considering its size and number of slices, we felt this was well-priced. The service was pretty good, and all the food arrived at the same time for a large table. With two iced teas, just under $50 ($25 per) for good sushi is, in our opinion, reasonable. Overall, 4.5 stars.
Food and service was mediocre.
Great takeout.
The Tokyo Cafe presents a welcoming yet minimalist atmosphere, where the unpretentious decor creates a sense of understated elegance. The attentive waitstaff consistently provides excellent service, complementing the consistently high quality of the food. The combination of ambiance, service, and exceptional cuisine establishes the Tokyo Cafe as one of the premier Japanese dining destinations in Santa Fe.

Don't judge a book by its cover! This little restaurant ceased to amaze me. The interior was absolutely beautiful. I would have never guessed from the outside. You definitely have to come in not only to enjoy the restaurant setting, but the food is amazing. The staff was very quick and attentive. If you're looking for a hibachi grill, well, this is the one in Santa Fe. Great menu selections. 😋
Wonderful
We stopped for lunch - the restaurant was nor extremely busy and we were seated immediately. After 10+ minutes and having been passed by 4 or 5 servers, we had to get up and ask someone to take our order. The food was served promptly and we had no issues with it. After we finished, we spent another 10+ minutes watching servers walk past, clear tables, wait on tables that had been seated well after we got there. We had to stop a server walking past us to ask for our check. This was the most indifferent service I've encountered in a long time. We won't be returning.
It's good and really fast service.
A quiet sushi place in Santa Fe with amazing food and a calm atmosphere.
